Welp after creating way too many cats... I think I finally narrowed it down between these two for my main's new look ^^




Just having a hard time trying to choose between the two :/ and I think the only edits will be probably the voice since I'm still playing around with that to make sure. I know I would appreciate some thoughts since I seem to be stuck atm ^^'

Very nice cats! The Helion's clan markings and skin have a warm undertone which in my opinion complements the red hair color. On the other hand, the pupils have a different shape between clans and it affects the overall look of the character, so if you have a preference I'd take that into account as well.

Well my original character was a Sun Cat because I liked the slit eyes... (and since in ARR the stats somewhat mattered I played them to my strength of playing BRD) but the Helion like you said outside the eyes is probably the closest to the original sun cat I use to play due to the warmer skin/fur colors XD and there I find my self in a self destructive spiral of indecision ^^'

Yeah the fur and eyes combo is different compared to Miqo'te which can make it challenging to carry over exact character designs, although it's still possible to draw inspiration from other races. A lot of people's cats in this thread have similarities with their forum avatar, which is pretty cool!

Interestingly, from a role play perspective it wouldn't really matter which clan one chooses because in lore Hrothgars of any color can be Lost or Helions.

When doom came to Bozja, the queen of a large community of Hrothgar perished while the bulk of her subjects—conscripts in the imperial army—were away on campaign. The entire group became Lost in one fell swoop, which explains why so many Lost today share the pale fur of this fallen matriarch. Other queens of this coloration do still exist, however, and it bears repeating that a Hrothgar's fur is by no means a definitive indicator of societal status.

Yeah, recreating the smol kitties as big kitties can be tough. I tried it with my sun cat and went for the Lost, because her original skin colour fairly pale/rose, and the narrow pupils go well along with that. However, her original Miqo'te face has many of these stripes that are part of the face, not face paint or tattoo, and face markings are more or less Helion exclusive. Tried to compensate it with face paint and stuff. (Might have to adjust colours a bit more though, the yellow stripes don't really suit that bright face colour I used on the second image.)

looks great, also reminded me of some Gal who Vtubes and Does Yakuza.

Can't wait til the day the Benchmark 2.0 is out.
I'll remind myself when it's out, but the wait ain't long out.

(Got another concept to play with too, though this one is harder to parse into fur, since the character doesn't have fur. But they pretty shapely.)
