I love the men in this game
I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90
Unironically, they need to make BRD 'gayer' by changing the 'Straight Shot Ready' proc to something that makes more sense to be used by both Shadowbite, and Refulgent Arrow. Perhaps the new proc could be called 'Barraged Shot Ready' or something.

So, a job called “bard” wearing flamboyant colors and styles is shocking…how?
Also also as said, glamour away.

Ok, problem solved: I just re-equipped my Archer gear. Easy peasy.
Besides, 2" kitten heels seemed like inappropriate footwear for combat. I would've settled for sensible ballet flats or 3" stacked heels, but I really hate kitten heels, they are just ugly.

Considering we got Viper which somewhat fills that aspect folks wanted from Rogue maybe well get a proper ranged hunter, it wont be using a bow but crossbow is still up in the air.

what in the world are "kitten heels" ?
edit: well i googled it and learned there are a /lot/ of different types of heels. (i feel sympathy for anyone who wears heels)

Archer turning into a music harp player is weird and seems like a stretch, but fortunately it continues to play mostly like an Archer. If you want to just think of it as an Archer and not use harp-like glamours for your weapon, then it still feels alright, unlike the Rogue>Ninja transition which is more transformative.
You can play other class/jobs on the same character.I've haven't played since the Bard transition. I'm reluctant to reroll another character.
Into Paladin. Which is rather similar, except they don't waste their time fighting in a colosseum and are more concerned with protecting others when things are peaceful, and fighting on the battle field when they're not.I suppose that a lvl 50 Gladiator would be transformed into a Frozen Yogurt Push Cart Vendor. I mean, why not?

Bard is amazing in my view. I've been a Bard main since 2.0 and love it. They did it bad back in Heavensward 3.0 but then fixed it in 4.0 (so you dodged that bullet). I've got all combat jobs to 90 and it's still favourite by a long shot even now![]()

There's this thing called "glamour." You may wish to look into it. It'll solve your issue in no time!Still new-ish to the game. Was loving game play and the amazing lore and the mind-boggling graphics. Got really invested in my Midlander Hyur Archer. But once I hit lvl 50 and activated the Bard soul stone and acquired all the pieces of gear, NGL, I almost cried.
What was once an awesome and formidable Archer, deadly and yet elegant is now a buffoonish clown-like reject from RuPaul's Drag Race (I can see her contemptuously wave her hand and proclaim, "sashay away"). I look and feel like the unholy bastard daughter of Sir Elton John and Liberace. Flamboyance doesn't even begin to describe this new "look."

As others have said, just glamour your gear's appearence with more ARC seeming attire if you don't like the minstrel appearence of BRD AF (I admit I'm partial to the hat myself), you're not locked to the default style of each piece of gear (in fact glamour is the true endgame, no matter what others say!) - the quest to unlock the glamour system is this easy quest.
