A possible fix for "submarine income"

Oh, I know there will always be the occasional exception of someone who has some luck and won't need to jump through hoops to continue their farms. Nothing is foolproof.

But it does act as a deterrent to getting started on a new sub farm. It becomes annoying for those already running them since now they'll have to play those low level alts so they get sufficient GC rank for Expert Deliveries. Every time they buy gear, they're reducing the profit they're making off the workshop. SE might even do a smart thing and remove company credit generation from Expert Deliveries, forcing the sub farm operators to start playing those characters in one way or another.

At what point does it stop being worth it?

Of course, the best thing would be for SE to remove workshops from housing and locate them elsewhere. The sub farms could continue to operate and almost no one would care because they're no longer affecting housing supply.

There's a doc floating around that shows you the optimized way of doing everything. Multi-owners already did the work to make it easier for others to quickly get into it. Tedious? Maybe? Annoying? Not so much.

Using cash shop items can also cut out some time, specifically the job boost gear. Takes out the need to play the alt at all outside of a few FATEs and a roulette lol. It's not required but makes it easier.
