There will be a second benchmark with fixed lighting and some other adjustments, so there is a good chance they will fix the problems. And your beautiful girl will be safe! You have one of the prettiest Viera so it will be very sad to not see her anymore.
That is how I feel. Even when playing around in the benchmark with features and colours and so on she just felt "gone". I know people think alot of us are overreacting but I have taken so many ss of her through the years and I know every little detail and seeing her nose change shape was a bit shocking. Seeing her eyeliner turn a harsh black as well. And her mouth....yeah I couldnt really accept her "new" mouth. I hope the updated benchmark makes it better!
are you using some kind of reshade? very nice lighting and details on that screenshots
Or just added filters on photoshop?
And I agree with DT changes, Vieras are very pretty in current version, this race as one of newest one did not needed any big graphic uplift. 3d artists really nailed it with these beauties in such an obsolete game engine.
They just need to learn how to stuff that big burweeds under the hats and would be perfect![]()
Recently I finished Endwalker's main questline, got my dancer's set and re-fell in love with dancer all over again, so I wanted to share a few pics of my Vel and her new looks ^^

I completely get you, I tried to put my bungirl in the benchmark too and she looked soooo not like herself... I wished they bumped up the graphics without changing some things the way they did. I feel like my girl's bunny nose was completely lost, the eyes looked too unnatural and the eyebrows were absolutely criminal. I picked veena because I liked that their bigger pupils made them look a bit more ''cute'' and in the benchmark it seemed like there wasn't any difference between veena's and rava's eyes. We talked about that quite a lot in my Free Company's discord and people were very 50/50, the main concern being that indeed, their characters don't look like themselves anymore. But because they're updating the benchmark, there's still hope! That is how I feel. Even when playing around in the benchmark with features and colours and so on she just felt "gone". Tbh I felt like I was taking craqzy pills when people told me my character looks the same in current game and in the benchmark. As you say, I don't really think vieras needed changing of lips or MORE thick black eyeliner. And Idk what it is but it is like all the small shadows of the bunnynose are completely gone which just leaves a wide potato in the face. I really hope the new benchmark makes things better but I honestly doubt it :/I completely get you, I tried to put my bungirl in the benchmark too and she looked soooo not like herself... Those people need glasses, cause I don't even play her, but I can see the difference, albeit similar due to the features. But you could say the same in the live game about face 1 Viera, they look very similar, but distinct, by people using different face options!Tbh I felt like I was taking craqzy pills when people told me my character looks the same in current game and in the benchmark. As you say, I don't really think vieras needed changing of lips or MORE thick black eyeliner. I can see the similarities to the original, but the eyebrows changed shape moving from a slight curve to a straight line, eyeliner is more thicc especially on top of the eyelid, making it look heavier/sleepy; her nose is thinner and looks longer than the original, lips were moved into a neutral expression, while before they were in a slight smile. She looks at least 10 years younger and the shade of her skin and eye colour changed! (but the last 2 could be caused by the lighting, yet still!)
If I were to describe it, more simply, it would be: It looks like you used the same base (Face 4 Viera), but totally different options for nose, eyes, mouth, etc. I really hope they fix this. If they wanted to add this look as a new Viera option, it should have been as a new face option, like they did with the male Hyur Meteor beard.

Like Pip said, those people need glasses if they can't see the difference. And don't get me wrong, she's still very pretty, but she doesn't look like her original self. It's the details that make the face and when the details change, the whole face changes.Tbh I felt like I was taking craqzy pills when people told me my character looks the same in current game and in the benchmark. When it comes to my Vel in the pictures below, the one on the left is her face right now, the one in the middle is her exact face in benchmark with nothing changed and the one on the right is the Rava version of her which I will probably go for after the update, because I can't stand her Veena eyebrows in the benchmark. Theoretically they have the same shape, but the visible hair made them look completely different, like a badly done eyebrow trimming job. Her eyes completely lost the ''cuteness'' that I was going for with Veena's bigger pupils too. I tried to change her into Rava in the benchmark and so far I like it more, mainly because of the eyebrows making her face look softer. Everything is the same, except for the skin color, but my Veena has the darkest shade available for them, which is pretty close to Rava's lightest shade so it's not a problem. The only thing is that I like my Veena's warmer undertone, but in the benchmark it looks a bit too unnaturally orange, so I don't mind if I have to change it a bit. Ah well, we'll see what the future holds!

I really hope they dont do those unnecessary changes that they did. I understand doing the upgrade I just dont understand the changing of the lipshape and such. When she smiles in the benchmark now she has a weird canoeshape. And otherwise in the shadows her lips look matte and overlined. It just looks strange.Like Pip said, those people need glasses if they can't see the difference. And don't get me wrong, she's still very pretty, but she doesn't look like her original self. It's the details that make the face and when the details change, the whole face changes.
