What is the point of having BiS

The purpose of BiS is you kill enemies faster, including hunts, maps, dungeons, extremes, savage reclears and now criterion. It's also been required for Ultimates in patches they got added in.

The other purpose of BiS is similar to the purpose of walking around with an ultimate weapon or "The Necromancer" title - to show off what you've achieved in the game, and inspire others to do the same.

I don't find BiS to be a particularly rewarding thing for me to show off. I have Crystal Rank on PVP and that was more challenging than getting the BiS. Guess I'll start doing ultimates then.
