My only criticism beyond hairstyles being attached to faces is that I actually fell in love with every single face. I don’t have this problem with other races - so I don’t know what to pick. :/

another option asides rolling the dice.
Make more of them of a style, one of each.
Eventually you notice which one you gravitate the most(or at least two)
or make some based off of some artworks you may have seen. and see which spark your interest.

Female Hrothgar, suffering from success...
But really, as a character designer. Try and choose a colour palette and apply it to all of them, usually, it helps enhance the face or show different aspects to it that weren't as visible before. Try it with your favourite fur pattern or go patternless if that is more your thing, also they have fangs that look completely different from each other so that may play a factor.
Also, there is one more thing, it doesn't apply to everyone, but if it does to you, it could be special. If you have a pet cat or a favourite feline, try making your hrothgal after them.
The reason I chose my girl so specifically was a mix of my old cat (She was a white cat with deep blue eyes, I raised her and her siblings from birth, and proceeded to keep her after no one wanted to adopt her, one of her legs was shorter and she was skipping, but she was a fighter and played like no other) as well as my favourite feline the Tiger and my favourite colour purple. The design doesn't have to just be pretty colours, though there is nothing wrong with that, but it can have significance.

I'm liking what I saw of their emotes in the character creator when you set them to unique. They're giving Highlander vibes which is great. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
I went with one of the voices that sounded really feral with the angry emote. Don't remember which one that was but it's close to the bottom I think?

I'd like to show my appreciation and say that the devs have done a very good job with Hrothgals. Here's what I like most about them:
1. They look like a female version of the male counterpart. They have cat faces that seem closer to each other in style than Miqo'te faces, for example, but they are still distinct enough that you can easily tell females from males. The different face options offer an equal amount of variety as they do for males.
2. The body type is a perfect blend of muscular and feminine, which I enjoy as a former Femroe player. If you compare a 20-height Femroe to 100-height Hrothgal, it's clear they seem to share the same rig but Hrothgals are a bit curvier in the waist and butt area in addition to being more muscular. Although I would have been satisfied with slightly smaller shoulders, they are in no way disproportionate to the rest of the body.
3. To continue with the comparison, the Hrothgal stance is more spread out and forward-leaning than a Femroe's but not a straight up hunch. Obviously they are different from the males in this regard, but I'm glad it was done this way. I've played a male Hroth and kind of wished they could stand up straight like they do during certain emotes.
4. They seem to work really well with the lighting in the benchmark. At no point did I feel their eyes were dead or that their skin color was off. I'm impressed with how nice the fur on the face looked. This will likely be the case in the live game as well.
5. They offer something unique to female character enjoyers, seeing as Hrothgals are the first bestial race and also the first tall race with a tail.

As time passes the likelihood I fantasia to a hrothgal grows.

I'm wondering when they intend to give us benchmark 0.2, and how changes in lighting and other nuances can affect what has already been done. Ngl, I'm a little hoping for a brighter color palette in the game itself; but perhaps the light will do its job.![]()
