You don't lose the extra 6.5% movement speed, but you lose the extra 10% recast reduction on any subsequent weaponskills.

This piqued my interest as I had never heard of it. Just ran out and tested it, and it is false. Put my Temple Boots on, used Fists of Wind. Simian Trash CD was 55 seconds.

Swapped over to Explorer's Moccasins. Simian Thrash CD was 55 seconds.

Both effects carry over.
