A question for the experts, by the by: have we received an updated naming convention yet? Or will it happen closer to release/right after?
Logically, I would reason that a little earlier would be better, so that those who want to think through the details would have such an opportunity...

I'm not a lore expert, but looking at the previous naming convention posts on the lore forum it seems that for Au Ra they came out before Heavensward release, Viera and Hrothgar about 20 days after release, and male Viera about 3 1/2 months after release.

All the totally legitimate grievances and controversy regarding the graphics update aside, I love how female hrothgar turned out. They really did a great job. Only criticism I have is that the hairs and faces are tied together.

I like #1 quite a bit, especially the hair, but it feels a bit featureless in the face and I'm not a fan of the Coeurl spikes.

What if you use face paint to add stripes?

I just noticed that the claw nails for female hrothgar are tied to the starting racial gear. Why?! This makes no sense. There is no reason why the nails can't be an option toggle in the CC.

I don't think the "toggle options" in the character creator have ever added anything structural outside of the face. We can't say there's no reason for that.

It's tough to say for me. All three are pretty but they all have a different, idk, "vibe" to them. What impression or feeling are you going for? What character type? Strong and "hit first, ask later"? Shy and gentle? Thoughtful?

The middle one. It's almost exactly like the one I made. My only issue is, while that hair is gorgeous, it clips with almost every single armor set in the Benchmark.

The clipping will be quite annoying for sure, getting a nice glam will be tough. That's why I rarely pick long hairstyles for my other characters (but these manes are just too gorgeous to ignore them).

After my previous post I had the same thought. I tried to sort of combine the two I had made before with some other tweaks and I'm pretty pleased with the result. I think this is the Hrothgal I'll be using when I give them a try after the MSQ.

Having trouble deciding

Does anyone remember how often, even just a loose timeframe, they added more hair to the male Hrothgar? Curious what kind of timeline I should expect to see the Hrothgals get a wider variety of hair like the men did.
