We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

Imagine an alternate universe where, for the sake of ~J O B ~ I D E N T I T Y~, you weren't able to diverge from each Job's signature color scheme for any of their gear- Paladins can only be blue and white, Monks can only be yellow and black, Black Mage can only be black, White Mage can only be red and white, etcetera, etcetera

Would we still have people blathering about the ability to dye gear any color for any class ruining their immersion?

It's especially ridiculous when it comes the general sets for mages. Final fantasy mages have massive variety in color and designs, yet every time it's black and white robes...

That's why I was sad to learn that they removed belt models in the past- imagine if they had instead extended the system by splitting the torso armor into Torso and Waist slots, like Monster Hunter

I realized that the Metian top is the first time I've seen an armor set display non-job weapons. It just further torches the idea that gear restrictions exist for any kind of "job identity".

Not that I'm complaining about the set, but if my Scholar can already have a sheathed sword why is it too much to ask for chainmail or leather?

i've complained about it before but
also the PvP GARO collab gear where there's 4 diff sets but like two classes per piece restricted so your glamour dresser fills up horrendously when it could just. have restrictions removed instead of 1:1 identical copy-pasta gears just with different classes attached to theme. i hate that sm

and once again, there's so much glamour that would be so good in casual glams but it's restricted. like shorts, boots, blouses. idgaf about class identity anymore a lot of the glams don't even scream "___ artifact gear" anymore, the bard stuff has been cute af for litcherally anyone. also individual piece mixmatching would be great. but noooo

even if it's in the glamour dresser it's still restricted
how much space should be saved by deleted copy-pastas and just removing the restriction to *glamour* it? equipping, sure, keep it that way, but once it's in the glam dresser it should be stripped of those restrictions imo

Could come up with 500 more similar examples, but why bother. Just run around any of the major cities and you'll notice that most players are already wearing outfits that don't "fit" their role, job, or armor type.

I've been all for unrestricted glams since a final boss cutscene had me summon 5 bikini miqotes + 2 armoured dps. The epic feeling of fighting a final boss is somehow lessened when you summon a bunch of people in bikinis. Might as well just unrestrict them at this point, the 'immersion' is loooong gone. lol
