There was not a single Hrothgal in the benchmark trailer that wasn't wearing the regular race armor. There is one Hrothgal walking up stairs in the background at 3:23 in the trailer that may have one of the standard ponytail hairstyles, but it may just be a race specific one, It's hard to tell.

As for the character creator, I would like to think they would have said if it WASN'T going to be there. It's been there before, but they did mention it when the Endwalker benchmark was revealed about the male Viera creator being there.

The new races are always in the benchmark. They could certainly break from tradition for whatever reason but that would be unusual.

SE changing a pattern happens about as often as me going through a day without being sarcastic.

Well, Yoshi-P said they're not releasing it today because otherwise nobody would watch PLL but be busy with the character creator instead, so this seems there is something interesting to see in there.

Not quite true. There are two Axe wielding Hrothgals that have a red poncho body piece instead of the normal racial gear but yeah most are wearing the racial gear. They can be seen when the camera pans around the WoL talking to the FFXI troll while Wuk and Krile come walking up (don't remember what they are called in XIV so going to just call them trolls since that is what I know the model from in XI :P ).

And yes every time there has been a new race the Benchmark allows for you to create that race, Heavensward Benchmark had the Au Ra, Shadowbringers had the Female Viera and Male Hrothgar, and finally Endawker Benchmark had Male Viera. I think that if you couldn't create a Hrothgal that they would of said so during the live letter. As for why they probably said something about Male Viera creation for the Endwalker Benchmark, they probably knew that Shadowbringers had the biggest influx of players (almost 150% the size of the 2.0 player base) so probably addressing that for the influx.

I wonder what the average amount of time creating everyone is going to spend creating their Hrothgal is going to be ^^' I suspect for me probably a good hour or two... I only know one thing for sure and that is the heterochromia that my character no mater what race always has ^^' The only thing that I hope I can find is the nose scar (The one that goes across or near the bridge of the nose) that I typically use if I can find it for my character ^^' 15 hours is still quite a while to wait T.T but at least it better than waiting another month or so like quite a few people were thinking.

(Asides fine tuning my Main/Alts as much as possible. (If only we could have more than thr limited amount of Character Creation SAVE Slots. PAIN.)

For my main, ima check how the skin interacts.
and see if Pale is finally more lively, if not I'll always have a tan.

As for Rothgals, idk.
Last name is a given, but there is quite many firstnames I can give her.

As for Fur Color/Pattern, I'll just have to see what fits.

I know for sure I don't want a color that washes out in the background(The dullest browns/orange), or something egregiously Highlighted(Massively bright beyond normal means yellow/green)

A Natural/Watery Blue, a Shifting Black/Grey/White(Depending on how either of the three fit with each other. Contrast is Royalty, but if done badly.., ..,)
Red highlights maybe abit much.

Racial gear or not, has anyone noticed how many there were? It could be that it is just the benchmark, but there were so many Female Hrothgar along with male Hrothgar (who were also mainly wearing their racial gear).
As you said, the benchmark always showcases the new races + some different glamour (if you don't want to go in the cutscene wearing the racial glam.). So if they were to deviate from that, I would think they would have said something.
As for how long it might take me to make my perfect girl? Uh... I would say at the minimum 6 hours. I only know for certain that she will have purple eyes (as do all my characters from any MMO game that lets you customise appearance). I had been playing recently with the males and assuming the females have the same fur colours, then I have gotten a few styles I would love to try. There is a big battle in my heart for my blue-furred/white hair girl and pure white with purple accents girl. So realistically, I might move in the benchmark and only go in the actual game for the events. Until DawnTrail releases ofc.


I will add that if any of my sisters want to share their screenshots, then they should also do it on the "Show your Hrothgar" thread! I will be lurking and liking every single one of these beautiful ladies!
