You want for free a capability that doesn't affect game play and that other people are willing to pay SE real money to get.
You should not be surprised or even disappointment that SE decides to pursue easy profits instead of indulging your selfish desires.

No profit (or sometimes even less profit) inevitably leads to no game.
The more cash FFXIV generates for SE, the more secure its future is.
