Just show support in those types of threads- you won't see anything until the megathreads related to character creator updates have 500+ posts

even if you just type "+1 for more hairstyles" that is support- it's the posts that matter in the thread, not the views

Here is a Megathread for hairstyles & other updates
It has over 39,707 VIEWS- just imagine if half of that were posts, we would have seen more of the things we want by now.
Just show support in these threads PLEASE or we will never see the changes we want- it's likely the XIV dev team does not look at NA/ EU threads unless it has over 500-1000 posts.

Bumpy mcbumperson, sliders for butt thigh boobs, as well as customizable faces/horn combo for au ra. Id like the round face with backwards horns personally.

Pretty sure they did mention character customization was going to be looked into in the "Future," aka who the fuck knows when... but yeah its somewhere on the do to list at least...

Bumping this. With the release of awesome character creators like Dragon's Dogma 2, Baldur's Gate 3, etc., they really need to update the character creator to remain competitive. To be fair, I don't expect the updated character creator to be as in depth as Dragon's Dogma 2, which allows you to create pretty much anyone you would like to create. But they really need to add more options for every race. People have been requesting more facial hair options for years. The character model for Clive in the XVI crossover event looks great. It would be nice to have the options to create characters you see in the game that aren't tied to the same face. Let players have more creative control by adding more hair, face, and even different body size options.

Sorry, this is ffxiv, where any cool, attractive &/or unique features are reserved strictly for NPC's

Clive's hair is abit over the top as SE is want to do when designing characters- his hair looks like Mel Gibsons from Lethal weapon lol; but we should have gotten it still (maybe in the future) but I'd also want Jill Warricks hair, even if it's made shorter. I'm really over XIV team shelving almost all of their female characters when they do a collab.
Like, Where is Garnets hair & outfit? Terra? Ashelia? Rikku? Rinoa? Aerith & Tifa? Then there's more female characters from other FF titles where we have only the male protag outfit.
I've been asking for (and many others) Hilda's hair and other hairs for years. Yoshi-P himself said he'd add it if people asked for it.

The lack of long hair variety is really frustrating
The lack of full beards and different types of stubble; highlander eyebrows
Older faces & new faces for each race
Jawlines (bc most characters lack an actual jawline & just have dorito anime face)
Wearing more than 1 facepaint at a time- I'd like to stack my face paints by wearing blush AND eyeshadow.
Non-gloss lipstick (why is it only gloss? its not 2005 anymore)
    Au Ra with interchangeable horns
    Half-elezen
    Garlean 3rd eye
    etc

Maybe I'm coming off to harsh but it's no secret that the character customization in this game needs an update.
We'll have to see if it ever happens

A few people did warn that the fan base has been asking for character creator updates and NPC hairstyles, longer hairstyles, etc for a long time. I don't really understand why they're avoiding this when so many people have been asking and for years? Will they talk about it in a later live letter maybe?

As mentioned in past posts, updating their dye system wouldn't hurt either but I've also heard that might not be possible with their engine or whatever they use to run the mmorpg. But, I've been playing the heck out of Lost Ark lately and THEIR DYE SYSTEM IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I live for being able to dye almost every part of an outfit. That's one thing I loved about Guild Wars 2.

    I would love to see:
    • Horns separated from Aura faces. (This has been widely asked for many times)
    • Hair styles separated from Hrothgar faces. (This is new but a fair request)
    • Longer hairstyles. (The megathread has many wonderful ideas and requests)
    • More NPC Hairstyles. (Also been asked by a lot of people for years, included in the megathread)
    • More beard options!
    • Change eyebrow color separate from hair color
    • Adding more Hair/Skin/Dye colors. (They have already added some dye colors so I'm hoping they will add more in the future)
    • Dye outfits in sections completely
    • Butt sliders would be a great plus

I love this game, and I love how much work the devs and the team put into creating this game.. but the fact he talked about the next 10 years and didn't even graze anything about improving the customization of the game was a little disappointing. I understand these posts are very repetitive but our pleas are not being answered T_T

You paid 40 usd for a "huge" patch drop that consists of repeat the same formula (Extended MSQ + a few trials+dungeons+one new job+a few zones) etc.

I bought Baldur's Gate and I am unimpressed with the character creator options. Many of the hairstyles are unappealing, face shapes are fully preset even if you have a few choices, all races get the same nine scar options and pathetically small range of earrings... plus the interface is horrible and glamour is non-existent so you have to wear whatever ugly thing is best for stats.

I agree; BG3 character creator is very underwhelming and I've had to resort to mods just to get the character how I want.
Now Dragons Dogma is much better, the userface is a tad clunky and there are still some things left to be desired (like long hairs and jewelry) buuuut I'd take DD2 character creator over BG3 hands down.
