Wouldn't even need to adapt it for all the races. They could just ignore Horthgar and Viera like they do with everything else from the neck up.
I've avoided 99% of all FFXVI related content. I don't think it's really feasible to entirely avoid spoilers during a cross over event like this if you want there to be some interesting narrative cohesion for the people taking part in said cross over.
That being said, if you're like me and enjoy jumping into a story entirely blind, skip most of the dialogue for this cross over. I'm sure people will say 'but uh it's not really a spoiluh because it's just one small thing' but those people can eat a used sock. Spoilers are spoilers are spoilers.
The event awards are pretty slick, though I somehow can't imagine Clive's outfit fitting a lot of our character models particularly well.

i was incredibly displeased by the fact that i was unable to do the instance on blue mage. one of my most fond memories of starting way back when in mid-late stormblood was doing the XV instance versus garuda while on blue mage. worse yet when i went in on reaper i was synced down to 50. otherwise it was a pleasant little questline, it felt kinda funny just running around with the minstrel (not in a bad way).

They probably put it to 50 and need you to have completed 2.0's MSQ due to you needing to be known as a hero of the realm. Otherwise it would have most likely been set to an even lower lv as they would want the most players to be able to do the event.
I know they are still due a few old hairstyles, but from Endwalker onwards every new hairstyle was released with viera/hroth in mind... I think by now is safe to assume this is the default.

Torgal as a mount feels wrong. It's Clive's pet, not a mount. Ambrosia should be the mount and there should be 2 Torgal minions, cub and adult.

The Torgal we meet isn't actually Torgal if you read the quest. Torgal is actually in his own world. If it feels so wrong then just don't use it.
Anyway loved the event. May even play 16 again but probably will still wait on the last DLC. Nice selection of rewards and I enjoyed the story. Fight was fun and kept me on my toes enough as DNC where I had to do mechanics.

I really liked the event and I REALLY hope solo instances in DT are as cool as this one. Only real complaint is that my hair massively clips through the chestpiece, which isn't anything new nor unexpected but I am disappointed that us longhairchads are once again seething and shorthaircels stay winning.
You can always give unsolicited advice, it's always morally correct
Some of the quest was drawn out a little long, but the instance was really fun. As someone who played 16, it felt intuitive, and gave me the real feeling of playing both games at the same time.
The rewards are really good. The outfit looks really good on male viera. The mount is very detailed. I think a lot of this event was put together with the graphics update in mind? Its not complete obviously, but it was like... a sneak peek.

My only complaint is the 20 seconds of "Sixteen bells" being cut from the "To Sail Forbidden Seas" orchestrion roll which kind of doesn't transition well without it.
(Am referring to the timestamp 2:16 - 2:36, if you have heard it before on YouTube)
