No luck needed. Oceanian servers have hundreds of mansions for sale with zero bids. Checking Zurvan server: 206 personal/hybrid mansions available to be bid on right now. Not locked, just unwanted.

There are thousands of houses spread across different servers and data centers that nobody wants and nobody is bidding on but according to some people playing on NA servers, who can't seem to comprehend the rest of the world outside of NA exists, anyone who buys multiple houses on these dead servers is apparently evil and selfish and we need to tear down the whole housing system because they can't win a bid.

This is inaccurate, there are thousands of open plots right now. Wards 25-30 being closed have nothing to do with.

Simply go look. There are even tools you can google for easier access to this info.

I literally just got 3 personal larges last round, they were completely uncontested and had been sitting for over a year and that's just on one server.

It would have to be on some of the Materia worlds. Not even Dynamis has had larges sitting unpurchased for over a year (except in the wards still not open for purchase).

The problem will continue to be supply existing on the lower population worlds that players don't want to be on while the congested worlds have stiff competition over what little does become available each lottery period. It will always be a problem with the ward system if SE continues to give every world the same number of wards. Players might complain about not being able to get a house, but they don't want those houses badly enough to move to the worlds that have houses available.

Housing Mirage will help some if it does get implemented and if it applies to apartments and houses but it still won't satisfy all the reasons that create demand.

I really just want instanced housing at this point or a free server transfer for all of my characters to a less populated server with other house decorating enthusiasts like myself

It would be easier to get people to spread out to less populated servers if they made the Duty Finder and Party Finder regional rather than DC based. I understand that’s a huge undertaking. But if you could stay on your underpopulated home world and still be able to que for duties within a reasonable time, it would be much more appealing. DC travel is great for a lot of people, but a hassle for a lot of others, especially those with limited playtime. You’re cut off from your home world amenities (like retainers, FC buffs, etc.) and CWLS capacity is still lacking for keeping in touch with people and groups in-game. (And I’m not sure, do those even work when you DC travel? I never have so I don’t know! lol)

From a technical standpoint, adding instanced would probably be easier than trying to make all the DCs in a region connect, but they should do one or the other, if they’re really planning on another 10 years. Graphics aren’t the only updates needed to get on level with more recent games. The wards are great, but by themselves will never supply enough plots for those who want them. Even Dynamis will eventually have the same problem. And unfortunately it doesn’t look like they have any plans to add additional wards or a new residential district in Dawntrail. With all the other things they’ve already announced, I think we would’ve heard about it by now.

Being on Sargatanas, which is currently classified as a Congested world, you would be eligible to transfer for free to both New worlds and Preferred worlds. If you are in NA, Dynamis data center has New worlds (with thousands of small houses) but there are currently no NA Preferred worlds.

I'll add if you want to stay in NA, avoid Seraph for housing. It's far more populated than the other 3 Dynamis worlds. You should see no difference in ping on Dynamis as all NA logical data centers are at the same physical location.

You may want to use data center travel to visit Dynamis to see exactly what is currently available. The ward designations for the Dynamis and Materia worlds remain different from the other worlds.

Wards 1-9 are FC only.
Wards 10-24 are personal only.
Wards 25-30 are not open for purchase.
