In my opinion, the pet class loving community needs to make noise so that SE notices and considers refining and developing the archetype. What they've done to the class is just saddening and the silence is taken as acceptance.

It’s an absolute minimum but at least controlling the fairy is still central to SCH’s gameplay because it’s still a strong part of SCH’s healing and mitigation, if you made it so you could summon the primals without carbuncle being active then SMN straight up wouldn’t even be able to claim the title of pet class
I want more on SCH but SMN has literally none of it
Expedient could have been centered around the pet. Also, in my opinion, I'm very much willing to give up Ruin II in favor or an oGCD offensive pet ability. Make it cost gauge, I don't care. just give me an offensive ability for the pet.

Reviving this thread to chime another idea for future SMN.
What if summoning primals puts us in a uncleansable debuff where we are forced to chanting.
Now here's the new gimmick... you temporarily gain control of Carbuncle and will gain access to its full kit and then some that can protect our characters while chanting.
A maybe kind of whacky thing they could do is turn Searing Light into a dot or a personal damage up debuff that you need to maintain throughout a fight.
