I hope that the female hroth don't have just a bunch of shaggy-choppy mullet hairstyles. Would appreciate some hair of different textures, and more stuff like this

I agree I hope they have hair like this but I have always wanted similar for all races. Lets hope they add some nice ones.

No reason to answer the bait posts. We can discuss in this thread for as long as we want. The only way to stop it is if a mod closes the thread, but until they are released/the benchmark is made available, there is no reason to move the conversation somewhere else.

As for the hairstyles, keep in mind that we will have access to all the Hairstyles male Hrothgar have (with the exception of the male-only ones, but those would be changed by their female counterpart like the Lightning hairstyle vs Snow from the mog station). Viera as a whole is with 2 patches in front of Hrothgar, so everything they got we will get eventually, and those are beside the base hairstyles. The only hope I have is for the hairstyles to NOT be locked to the faces (I have the same hope for the males too!)

As cool as this is: I have been playing a Hrothgar for quite a while and followed the recent updates regarding their hairstyles. Of course, there is no accounting for taste, but to me many of the "new" Hrothgar hairstyles look too smooth on a Hrothgar, more like a wig, not a hairstyle suitable for a lion-like mane. (Unless you really overdo it with a hair straightener. xD ) Which isn't a big surprise, they were made for more humanoid peoples. That's why I stuck with one of the two hairstyles of his face since character creation. There are some nice ones among the unlockables, and I remember people liking this really short one because it makes them look close to a "hairless" design. It would still be nice to have more hairstyles that suit them better. (I lack the English vocabulary to describe what I mean, but basically how the Hrothgar exclusive ones look. And yeah, I absolutely hope they make them face independent during the visual update, so it's not basically 1 Hrothgar specific hairstyle per head for the guys anymore. ^^; )

If memory serves me right AND you are referring to what I think you are. (AKA the hairstyles from stuff like the Island Sanctuary or the Gold Saucer) Then they will be available after the expansion releases and on the characters that have them unlocked. They will not be available to view in the Benchmark. However, base game ones that do not require unlocking and are available from the CC would be available.
But all the Hairstyles available to male Hrothgar should be available for Female Hrothgar (barring the gender-exclusive ones like Snow's, but those have a female counterpart like Lightning's hairstyle)

omg yea. UGH i dont get the random tiny braid bit at all.
on top of basically what would be messy/unkempt hair. someone as world weary as the WoL just sitting there deciding not to brush their hair at all, but putting a little braid in it and calling it a day xD

Cannonically speaking, when does the Wol brush their hair? It took until SHB for Wol to take a shower.
I also like the messy look, looks less like plastic to me, but I can agree on the 1 single braid, though Early to Rise is my favourite hairstyle. That hairstyle would have been better without it.
But looking at the males who have a set of lion-like mains with braids and some that are thighed back, I am glad that they followed the same idea for the females.
My favourite ones so far are the one in my sig and the blue "Hand Wraps" one from the official art
