RP shout ads are obstructive to chat and gameplay

Nightclubs are nothing but greedy people trying to turn a game into a job.

Every single Venue/RP drama on NA servers is literally everyone ignoring any all forms of RP Etqiquette.

Also, in my personal opiniona:
- IMO no one owes you Gil, and RP is a community effort, not for your personal gain.
- Being a minor is not an excuse to report someone if you willingly and deliberately walk into an adfult-themed venue. That could be seen as obstructing game-play, and in itself is a red flag.

I legit agree with all you said. Just wanna touch on somethings though.

The first point there while is very correct but on some level you kinda need to treat it as a job. Not a real one but a in game one. It can still be fun though. Most places want this. It's not to make it unfun. It's just how they structured.

I do really agree lots are greedy though. You cn see it in pf ads alot lol.

Your second point. I cant even argue this. I consider Aether horrible for drama in venues. It's supposed to be something fun in game and it's a literal high school drama all the time. Even so far as doxxing each other in some cases.

Your 3rd point would only extend to places who take no gil but do rp and tips. Unfortunately with stuff opening constantly. It's a norm for them to want gil. Bar, erp workers, dancers and whatnot. Players won't even "work" these days if they aren't getting the gil they want. There's very few places where I see in game staff working for nothing. It's sheer enjoyment for them.

At venue my character works at in game I do not take gil. Annoys the owner but I'm doing it because I enjoy it.

Your last point brings up something interesting. Lots of minors still walk in and bait pla es then report them. You would think that you could report the minor but you won't have the time before you in the gaol for it.

The aether rp community smartly has the player agree to something akin to a permission slip in game so it's recorded on the chat system and they can screenie it.

Places that don't do this really need too. Can save your butts

There's actually a thread I saw recently regarding blacklist and how it needs to be updated but it appears to have been buried under the other posts. If they're gonna keep allowing players to advertise hookers to children in shout chat and not do anything about it, then they'd best at least make the blacklist have 2000 capacity. Kinda gross how it's a well known fact that there's a lot of pedos and groomers lurking in those places and yet they're still not doing anything to keep adult ads out of chat.

If they're gonna keep allowing players to advertise hookers to children in shout chat and not do anything about it, then they'd best at least make the blacklist have 2000 capacity. They would have to finally admit this is happening lol. Notice they try everything they can to avoid admitting this all exists

In general, all expressions of an obscene/indecent nature are prohibited. If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.

This applies to not only text-based expressions such as chat but also to expressions that use emotes and or character movements in ways that are sexually explicit.

Examples of violations that use character motions
Using a combination of emotes and motions to mimic grinding against another character
Using movements that are evocative of sexual activities

Note that obscene/indecent expressions can range from relatively mild to severe, and some of the relatively mild expressions may be tolerated among friends. Therefore, in a private environment where only friends are present, whether it is tolerated or not, a case will be judged on whether or not a report was made.

Example 2
In the case of role-playing involving mildly sexual expressions (such as erotic role-playing) with a consenting group of two or more players, if it is conducted in a private area, it will not be considered a violation unless a report is made.

However, if you encourage or invite a player to participate in such role-play without being certain of their consent, there is a high possibility that you will be reported and penalized. Please be very careful.

As you can see, expressions that fall under this category are generally prohibited, so if even one player who witnessed such an expression finds it offensive, there is a high possibility that it will be reported. What is considered offensive will vary from person to person, so if you believe there is any chance that you may offend someone, you should refrain from making such expressions.

Please note that Square Enix may issue a penalty at its discretion even if a report has not been filed but the act was found being conducted in public areas such as Say and Shout, search comments, Party Finder, on online video/streaming services, if the behavior is found to violate real world laws, or if it may be considered a problem based on the game's entertainment board ratings.

It's reportable behavior, but you have to file that report.
