I was raised with manners so when I see others get disrespectful answers when they could easily get a more respectable one I'm left with 2 choices... either the people in question were deprived of oxygen too long and have possible brain damage or their IQ barely keeps them from forgetting how to breathe.
As you can see out of respect I added no names and pointed no fingers despite pointing out an obvious fact. If people are intellectual or wise, they will never give people rude personal replies so yes I agree with your post. We should always treat one another with the respect people deserve, its basic human decency.

Even if I rarely agree with his suggestions, I've never gotten the impression he's a troll.

Well.. it's my first major post on this Forum. and sure a lot of what i wrote was out of anger and sadness... but i just don't wish to leave my friends and what not, to move to a diffrent data center to get a house you know. ; x ;

and i've heard as much that the forums are insane.

Was just reading an article with statistics from a company that analyzes social media activity for businesses. Apparently over 30% of activity on the platform formerly known as Twitter is now bot activity compared to just 2% at this time last year. Other platforms are showing 0.7 - 2.3% bot activity.

Thanks to Elon Musk, everyone can now let bots have the greatest influence on their lives. Just what everyone had been asking for (if not the way they meant it).....

To be fair to Musk; the explosion of access to machine learning and the sudden lapse in Bitcoin mining has resulted in a LOT of garage AI's being used for all sorts of stuff like botfarms. Apparently PokerStars.net players are now apparently majority bots...playing against bots actually.

Mao....skeptical abouts them numbers Jojoya put outs. Is widely known that Twitter massively underestimateds bot activity prior to Elon buying company. Is also known that Elon publicly stated that hims would be more transparent abouts such issues. Therefore Mao suspectings current bot estimates MUCH more accurates than old estimates from year ago. Probably took Elon that much times to get handle on real numbers. Even if really is more bots, if price of free speech is to has more bots, Mao willings to pay that price. Mao sayings this while Mao admittings Mao not so keen on Elon. Mao suspicious of someone whats want put hardwares inside Mao head.

You'd only be giving up your friends if you stopped playing with them. Data center travel makes it very easy to continue to play with friends.

I hop between data centers a lot on my characters. Unless I'm doing some sustained gathering from timed nodes or have need to be checking my retainers frequently, being on another data center to play is not a problem. You may not have access to FC chat or home world linkshells but you can join cross world linkshells on other data centers. Or if your FC is anything like my FCs, we do more talking in Discord than in game so it's not really noticeable.

You can always test what it's like by making a temporary character on another data center then travel back to Crystal to level while talking with your friends. The only caution I would add is that data center travel is likely to be highly congested for a couple of weeks when Dawntrail releases (if not shut down completely because it can't handle the traffic). On the other hand, if you choose a Dynamis world for your character, you can avoid the 5+ hour log in queues that Mateus will almost certainly have as soon as early access for Dawntrail starts.

I'm not trying to blame him specifically because I don't know how far he's stepping into actual operations of the platform as opposed to giving a general "squeeze more money out of this" to those he's given operations control to.

But it is very strange that it's a problem that third party analysts are seeing just with X and not with the others. You would expect to at least see a similar trend across all the other major social media platforms, even if not to the same degree, if it was just an explosion among bot operators in general. Someone has fallen asleep at the switch - or been laid off - and management isn't following up.
