Sorry, so butch, strong, warrior (which Wuk Lamat is...a warrior...) is bad ?

(As can be seen by the raving fandom of this stereotype presented in this thread.)
Perhaps you're reading too much into a voice ?
You were doing so well :/ ... not everything is political.

This is why the other voices do so well. They can extend and use their full voice without having the complexity of an accent not natural to their normal speaking voice.
The accent was wholly unnecessary, but I understand why they went for it for the NA VA. In that case, the director or whoever the hiring person was made the wrong decision and should have gone for some with a better accent or native accent even.

While I may echo with some of your points, this is just silly.
You equate butch, strong, and warrior to strong independent woman.

I asked "how would others change it?" bc I mainly wanted others perspectives on the matter.
In my personal opinion, The NA voice itself is good, but the tone sounded odd at times to me - and after watching the video you provided, compared to the other voices in the other languages, those voice actor's have a certain energy to their voices that isn't really present in the NA voice at times. The Hrothgar character itself is cute af to me. Seeing her in-game made me excited for playing that race.

Apart from that, At times it felt like someone reading from a prompt rather than the character actually talking. (I know that's how Voice acting works, but there's narrative voices that help you get immersed in the story, then there's the person who sounds like they are reading a book to an audience.) And this issue isn't just solely from this character, it's a big issue in ARR and all of the villain monologue's. I'm looking at you MSQ roulette & Stormblood!! >: (

But also, now I'm in love with the french Voice actor's version. So, switching to French (all of the other VA's did a great job too)

As far as the voice actor themself goes, W/e their affiliation, That still doesn't excuse the VA's bulling of another VA on social media & I do think the NA voice actor should be held accountable.
But I'm sure people believe the NA voice actor deserves a pass for crap behavior bc they're trans. Or that bullying is acceptable so long as it fits their agenda.

If you look at the VA's voice acting history, they are an OK VA in reality. However, almost all of their prior roles have been male characters using male voices, with like one or two huskier/old women in the mix (which are minor, extras/few lines roles).

So nothing that doesn't fit a typical male VA's list, this being the first break out role where the lady character is young and is supposed to sound girly, given the other languages' direction.

So they don't really have the range needed for this role, but they were given the role anyway.

As for being a bad person? Most actors are bad people. Heck, most people are bad people. That's just par for the course. Though this does have that delicious irony where this person has advocated for voice actors having roles based on identity rather than on performance or ability. Given their own beliefs, they should not have this role. Hilarious. Also sad...

This person who is the VA for a Female character had a mental melt down on twitter/ X over supposed "Trans" characters in anime/ gaming being voiced by Women instead of "Transwomen". Openly called for at least 1 Woman to step down and give her job to a "Transwoman" because the cute, young, girly game character she VAs for is apparently the "most visible trans woman in anime & video games!" and then later they accused Guilty Gear's localization director of launching "a targeted hate raid on trans people who spoke out!".

This is very ironic given that this person is a "Transwoman" voicing a Female Hrothgar. By this logic, they should step down and ask whatever friend gave em this gig (I'm 100% on board with the idea floated somewhere here that this person was hired through a friend/ nepotism) to just hire a Woman, as this character isn't trans.

Makes me think of the Twilight actress when she spoke on this new topic at the time of people asking "Should Straight people be allowed to play Gay characters?" ( iirc This was around the time Scarjo was gonna play a transwoman in the starring role for a movie. The mob did what they do ... so she and her team stepped away from the role. And because it no longer had Scarjo attached, the money people left and the film was never made).
She had the common sense to say that "No, I don't think Gays should be asking for this. Because I'm a Lesbian, and it would have to go both ways. I wouldn't get nearly the amount of roles I get if I could only play lesbian characters. My break-out role was playing Bella Swan, a straight girl.".

I want to marry Wuk Lamat, I like her just for everything that she is, and yes I am on the English voice as well... I am foreign though, but through out the the introduction and story, if you actually got an ear for languages including your own native language, you would be able to hear an improvement happening, from when you met her, untill you completed the 'trial' thing.

    I am just saying.

Keep in mind Wuk Lamath is first of all not Eorzean and as it is with most 'intelligent' beings, you will adapt to where you goto in the world and maybe even pick up the language if need to be there for long or for life.
