    Pretty much this, and bodycheck mechanics are really only a band aid fix for the non-existent DPS checks and consequently low punishment for deaths.

    My uneducated guess of the reason why they add so many body checks is because they realized too late just how much recovery and mitigative they've given to us. Sort of a knee-jerk reaction.

    I think it makes sense within their current paradigm frontloading 99% of the game systems into encounters themselves rather than the jobs imo.

    Granted, healing and mitigation is the last remnant of what still lies job side... I hope I didnt jinx anything by saying this.
