We get it. We just don't agree. I'd rather someone not be made to feel bad in different content because they didn't do Island Sanctuary. Let us all have an equal chance at all the rewards associated and keep it associated with that content.

I mean their point is they didn't say* that. They said, essentially, to continue providing content to Island sanctuary.

Not lock cosmic, or other content, behind sanctuary, but to provide sanctuary additional opportunities.

Really just boils down to "don't squadron the island please". Squadron as in abandon / let wither.

*Their title doesn't help their case though, the OP and title are a bit at odds. I also wouldn't recommend putting old content as a requirement for new, although SE does it all the time, but I would recommend not abandoning a content where opportunity makes sense.

Maybe something like a nice cameo from the Sanctuary and other restoration projects. But, the cosmetic features would not particularly interest me.

OMG continuing to misread as ever. Your feedback is awful, and not at all what I am suggesting. I'm convinced people don't read on these forums. I just want some meaningful achievement bonus that reflects in the Space Exploration that is entirely OPTIONAL, and visual. Nothing that adds anything non cosmetic. Island Sanctuary is basically being abandoned in favor of a new better system, and it would be cool if all that hard work we put into it had some kind of bonus to reflect on the new content. It's not fair to abandon it, and not carry at least some kind of a thing over to Space Exploration.

From the little they talked about at Fanfest, it sounded like Cosmic Exploration is going to be a bit more like Firmament (I.e. more shared content than solo instances) so I'm not sure how this would work in practice.

IS is probably done, but it would be nice to get occasional updates to the cowrie shop. (Put crafter / gatherer XI and XII materia there, dev team. You know you want to)

Yeah another Restoration-esque content sounds about right for this, possibly even with a new zone like Daidem. That being said wonder what gets accomplished if so, moon housing?

So you want a reward tied to something from a previous quest chain. For someone that likes to flame others for not reading, you obviously missed my point. Locking stuff, optional or not behind something else is dumb, no matter how trivial you think it is. Your reward for putting the time and effort into your optional Island Sanctuary WAS your Island Sanctuary and the items you obtain in it. That is the reward you were working toward. Those mounts, glamours you got by getting to higher ranks are all yours because you put the time into getting it. Now you want more stuff in new content that has nothing to do with the old content just because you put your time into it.

That's like saying when I go to work and recieve my pay check I should recieve something bonus next month because I already worked last month and put time into it and want more than what I work for this month. Should we just give you everything for free at this point? Why even play the game, sure I played 17k hours, give me free stuff Mr. Yoshi.
