i got to 30 in ffxi before i had to get more then 2 hr play time. And there wasm't many home points and only if your contry had those outpost. I pickjed windy on was on garuda server. They had no zones.

Same for my nice run to bastok. Windy had no outposts for me to set hp at. But like I keep saying it wasn't cuz I didn't know the game. I just didn't see the mob. That icon helps us to SEE the mob. get it now? : /
Still don't understand why it cost you that much when the release was 99.99$ for the box with the HDD and the game and 50-60$ for the network. why did you need a xbox game adptor for anyways? i can understand the ps2 costing the most part.

Yes, some people are insulting to casuals... but they aren't completely unjustified in their anger.

The point is, Hardcores are generally willing to meet halfway on something. Casuals are generally not.

For example... the death penalty. Most hardcores would like to see a significant penalty for death to make it mean something. However, most are also willing to accept a more lenient death penalty to meet the Casuals halfway.

But the Casuals will "have no such thing!". They aren't willing to even consider having a death penalty "because it's not fun". They aren't willing to compromise, which pisses people off. If you aren't willing to discuss and compromise, you have no right to sit at the table.

Also the current icon looks like a sun, it makes all agro mobs look like want to hug and cuddle you.
to you maybe. I like it. I enjpoy actually see a mob that might kick my arse. And also not all mobs who aggro showed up on the radar. Sorry but I Maybe crying over an icon that does nothing but show you what aggros getting a tad bit old? does this aggro icon tell you how to avoid it? does ut tell you the radias of aggro range?
you know it don;t and that is where the real chalenge is. I also find it pointless and a waste of time avoiding every mob and missing short cuts.

all the icon does is allow you to see the mob. Thats it. Unless it gave you every bit of info on how that mob aggros you shouldn't cry. As ppl still gotta learn how to avoid it. Which is whats the more impotent part.

MMO's should be much longer than console games. Also, the icon is not intended for players who have tunnel vision and don't notice aggresive mobs. >.>

What you just said Kaedan, I agree. We need to get that word out! FAST!!! I also came up with an idea on a death penalty besides weakened state. It will also cure surplus, but still keep it implemented. When you die, you go into surplus. The more times you die, the higher exp loss you gain. Soo, surplus is still in the game, just in a different way.

you did never play FFXIV, what are you talking about?

if you have ever played FFXIV you would know that there is no challenge in it at all, you see a aggro, you simply walk around it or you simply ignore it because it is very easy to run away (unless there is a large group of mobs or if the mob kills with you with 1-2 hits)

Mobs in FFXIV are EASY t see, unless they get stuck in the ceiling of a dungeon but that is rather a collision bug and not meant o happen.
You need to play the game if you want to be taken seriously.

because the one I got that was cheap didn't work with it. The game wireless adptor did work though and had it for most of my playtime.
And ti kaeden sorry but no one jhas any justified reason to be made at other ppl. Over a video games "difficaulty" you make the game as easy or has hard as you want it to be. You can easily turn off names to have your challenge.

So far none of the "hard cores" are meeting 1/2 way as they wanbt to insult the target playbase for ffxiv.

the aggro icon... who is just a visual aid not making anything easy mode as what ppl are claiming since no one has any idea wat easymode really is.

easy mode no mobs aggro OR aggro icon also tells you everything about the mobs aggro patterns. Like if it detects by magic, sight, sound, hp. If it links, and the radias of all of that. Or did you guys not knoe thst mobs actually have an aggro radias. I found this out after I avoided the bats in the valrum dunes cave.
