Maybe bring back 8v8v8 then?

too many people complained 8v8v8 mode wasn't fun because inevitably one group of 8 would just dominate and roflstomp everyone else on the map. this was also back before the forced freelance thing came into effect.

Just because something hasn't changed or they don't listen dosn't mean we should give up at its core FL is super god dam fun. It's basically a open world pvp simulator. IT has potential to be incredible. 14 and by extention Final Fantasy has always been a more pve story centric thing I get that I really do, But in a mmo you have to have pvp it balances out other content. so I don't only have to do pve I can pvp if I want. SE has proven time and time again that fold to enough pressure. PVP players need to be louder and post more is all. say it with your goddam chest! Trust me no one likes shatter rn other DC like JP and EU are also saying same thing many NA players are saying.shatter day sucks now.

better a group of 8 when you can have actual team cohesion than 3 dragoons and a dark knight jumping onto the point and saying "no fun allowed today"

On paper, it sounds fun but the reality is this would kill PvP without major rebalances to address a lot that would go wrong.

This would still happen in a group of 8. The meta would just adjust to some other unforeseen meta stomp. Especially when you can still premade up to 4 people. So half of that 8 man alliance would be premades. In an 8 v 8 v 8. There would be way more people breaking away from the group so the four pre-made players that stick together would just pick off all the stragglers. Take current PvP right now, you could probably just stack Ninjas and Death Link everything. That's just one of many possibilities that could happen. 8 v 8 v 8 is not the solution many want to believe it is. If anyone here remembers the original 8 v 8 v 8 they would know that team cohesion still did not exist even back then. It was every man for themselves. You cannot convince the everyday casual to play a job that synergizes well. You could get an 8 v 8 v 8 team where everyone is a Dancer for some reason. Bascailly I'm saying that while the current system isn't great, the 8 v 8 v 8 has it's own fair share of "no fun allowed" problems as well.
