She also has lots of replies praising her on Twitter-- like 99% of them are positive from what I saw. And Twitter is the first place people go to hate on things, so you know it was good if a thread isn't totally derailed by hate.

Not to mention you can search "6.55 patch reactions", close your eyes, and click on any random video. I haven't seen a negative reaction to her from any content creator yet. In fact, they've all been very excited despite no one seeming to even know the actress.

Probably because if they dared dislike her and voice it they'd be doxxed and called transphobes lmao, especially with the past history of the ffxiv community of harassing streamers and youtubers, doxxing them and even making some quit, I wouldn't try my luck either.

P.S. Internet "arguments" are more about finding people that validate your opinions, so don't take any metrics as proof or evidence one way or another.

I'm not super versed in Twitter, but I'm pretty sure if Sena blocks a post, they'll only be hidden to her (and also the poster will no longer be able to post on/see their tweets. Also if someone has their profile set to private or something, then their posts will be hidden automatically, even when posting on your tweet. Only friends of those accounts will be able to see them). Anyway, I took a quick looksie at her announcement tweet for being the voice of Wuk Lamat and I gotta say, the few negative posts I've seen are definitely not the ones you yourself should be siding with (they're quite clearly misgendering her). Like the only one post I saw that didn't do that was just a response to someone else who loved her voice: "do you have ears?"

Sena instablock any non-positive (neutral too) replies. Thats why you see 99% positive

I edited my original post but I'll say it again in a new post because nobody's going to read this whole thread.

As an addendum to my original opinion: She does well in emotionally intense scenes. It's during casual conversation where she falls flat. It's a consistency problem that can only be solved by more experience and better quality control. I believe she CAN do it, with enough takes.

As has been said, and as has now been censored repeatedly by deletion, the voice over segments done in English for patch 6.55's introduction of the character Wuk Lamat were done very poorly.

The voice over work for the patch itself was rather lackluster all around, but Wuk Lamat's rendition was significantly lower in quality than every other VA in EN. This may have been exacerbated by expedited, remote recording conditions, but the fact remains.

I found myself switching to German for the duration of the patch, even though I do not speak it, in order to try and enjoy the character more. This was overall a degradation to the experience, since I could not enjoy the other English VAs that I am accustomed to hearing.

In the censored threads, other players who pay for and love this game echoed this same sentiment for a variety of reasons.

I have played and paid for this game for almost 11 years. I have played and paid for SE's first MMO, FFXI, since 2003. My feedback should matter, just as every other paying customer's feedback should. Feedback should not be subject to deletion, especially when it is genuine.

Please get the Voice Actor for Wuk Lamat training or improve on her performance in some discernible way. Or give us the option to switch out specific spoken characters.

As it stands, her direction in EN specifically comes off as an offensive caricature, does not match the character in other languages, and does not let us all enjoy the character in a similar way, negating the shared experience aspect that make MMOs great.

I think you are over reacting, and that is that... why are you switching to a language you do not grasp, you don't even know if the voice is off in the same way, if the case that is, mainly because you don't grasp the other language.

I find that a weird and percular flex, I speak 4 languages and understand additionally 3.

Wuk is fine in English, it is not something that would make me go bananas over, and if you actually got an ear to things, she gets gradually better as she picks up more Eorzean, but that part did not seem to get your attention?

It is a foreign Cat from a part of the world that does not have to much contact with the regions we are in, give her a chance? She is not a Scholar like the rest of the gang either... and I don't understand why no complainst about Erenville, as he is in the same accent and area of voice, unless you are one of them judgemental and discriminating kind of persons.

Nope, companies/ famous people/ maybe just blue check people can hide replies to their post from the general public. You can see this by clicking on the hidden post button.

I found out about this when Bud light was hiding 100s of post where they were being dunked on and ratioed.
