Wuk Lamat has been here for one quest and is already "the worst character" ? Are you kidding me ? Do you read the first chapter of a children's book and close it 'cause the main character is immature ? Character growth, setup ? All that jazz ?

I swear some of you have no idea how stories work.

Anyway, Wuk Lamat is funny, can't wait to see what kind of stuff happens with her. Hope she grows as fierce as she tries to be.

You are conflating having a perspective with anger I think. There's plenty of instances where I agree with people, add on to what they are saying, etc. Other times I make jokes or yes, become dismissive. I generally try to react to people based on how they're using the forum in the first place. I also try very hard to focus on ideas and not the poster, something we don't seem to have in common. When you start focusing on a poster you just divert from the topic being a failure imo. There can be exceptions if someone is trolling but if that's what you are getting from my posts, you're hopeless.

I will also say as a general aside, I'm working on not responding to every quote either, to avoid being confrontational. For example someone quoted me and said "that's jealousy"-- but how is it jealousy when Sena isn't asking for all the roles to go to them in particular? It's just not worth it. Seems like people are baiting at this point so you can confirm your bias that all responses are aggressive. In reality I'm not woke, and don't care about trans people generally unless it comes to existential threats. It's the same with anything-- cuisine, religions, panda bears. Panda bears are endangered, so we try to preserve them because of biodiversity. In the same way, human culture is diverse and worth preserving. I realise we're not preserving trans people by giving them more anime roles but it's still the same general idea. Put another way, let's use the example of Varshan again. The devs could've hired a someone who isn't Tunisian but has perfected Tunisian accents and studied Tunisian culture deeply to play Varshan. But why would they do that when a Tunisian (perhaps even a Tunisian American, idk the actor that well) is able to play the role? Especially when voice actors are not always just the voice-- in many scenarios they play a strong role in adapting the localization and can even influence the portrayal of the character. For example with Genshin Impact, Ray Chase re recorded all of his dialogue as Neuvilette based on a single line of dialogue that changed his perspective on the character. And the team put the resources there for him to do that, right? That's because voice acting is not just about the voice, it's about bringing the character to life.

Yeah, she grew on me as I finished up the bit of MSQ we received in the patch. Excited to see her growth and see how SE is gonna break her down to build actual confidence instead of false bravado.

'cause she has multiple voice actors too, do each of them represent something intolerable ? Are they all criminal or something ? I dunno, i play with french dub.
Did the english voice actor commit a heinous crime of some sort ?
