There's no reason to change the subraces any more than they did for Ishgardian Elezen, Far Eastern Hyur or Thavnairian Au Ra.

The Way I see it, they really only gave us the concepts of being in a matriarch society, or being outside of it(due to never being. or having lost.)
Colors aside, there ain't much.
If anything, Hrothgar are the most free to be what they desire, open to most backgrounds and lore, to some headcannons as well.
(unlike some races who view some of their kin in good or bad light. Based on their Hue.)
Truly are free, even if there be battles.

I think personally I’m going to replay through the MSQ after Dawntrail/after the initial 7.0 patch, every race I’ve played I’ve been “okay” with. I always typically pick the beast race, but with 14 it was always tricky for me. The first free fantasia I got I switched to male hrothgar, but I kept switching to other races because I wanted the female variant of them but was never able to. Playing the other female version of every race has left me wanting, and I think when female hrothgar come out I’ll fully flesh the story/ideas I had for my character.![]()
I have something floating around in my head. As Pip said I would probably lean more towards the Bozja backstory rather than the Tural one. The idea of using Tural as a backstory brings back memories of High School Spanish Class (AKA the only class that tried to fail me because the teacher didn't like me and didn't want to do any work) so yeah a little bit of negativity there for me ^^'Since Pip brought it up, do you have any new ideas about the origins of your character? Will it concern the New World, or Bozja, or will it even come from outside? The bright colors and music of Tural almost made me fall in love even now. Since Yoshi P so heartily pointed out that we could be from anywhere, I'm starting to think about an update for my story...
Now if I find the Female Hrothgar to my liking (so far I'm about 90% thinking of swapping day 1 and want to get my hands on the benchmark before I full commit to the idea) then I'm going to debate getting a name change to at the very least name change the surname (Not changing Hesper since that is a legacy name I carried over from FFXI).
Basically the cliff notes version for my Hrothgal Backstory is Resistance after Garlamaud invasion but before the Bozja incident. Woops magic thingy flung somewhere gets glam to look like a Femroe to lay low from Garlamaud. 2.0-6.55 happens then figures she no longer needs the glam to hide before setting off for 7.0.
As Pip said the Famitsu interview says she is supposed to grow as the story goes along. Reading that I just want early point in the story Wuk Lamat to regale us with her version of "I just can't wait to be Queen." Out side of this, Yes please Yoshi-P and Writing staff let Wuk Lamat have Hrothgal specific dialogue for 7.0+ since I don't see them going back and rewriting 6.55 (Unless they already have it in there for New Game+...).
And yeah Ladies of Stormblood were all done dirty... lets hope that they don't follow that script again...
Haha, I actually understand this feeling! Although in my case it was English class... sigh... but here I am. Ahem.I have something floating around in my head. Also Pip's way of calling all femhroths sisters is pretty sweet, and I'm glad to see that the outcome impressed a lot of players enough to consider Fantasia. Let's just say that I like that what I think worthy of attention and positive emotions actually receives them. But you're right that it's make sense at least testing everything in a benchmark, before making a final decision. Besides, it looks like the benchmark will be another testing ground for developers too, and I'd like to believe that we'll have the opportunity to report any shortcomings before launch if such a thing appear (hopefully it is don't).
I like your notes! It would never have occurred to me to even think about glamorous charms, although the storyline more than once hinted at their importance. Take the flag on Velodyna, or camouflage of the Resistance base... Your idea sounds not only interesting, but also natural. I respect that.Basically the cliff notes version for my Hrothgal Backstory is Resistance after Garlamaud invasion but before the Bozja incident. As for NG+, I'm pretty sure they're continuing to change this, little by little. Not just for any specific race; but the more knowledge we gain, the more additions will be made to the past.
Support ugie's message above, I hope to replay the entire story someday. Heard that Trust system and some plot twists also changed the design, so your comment makes even more sense.
Hats confirmed!?
