thats probably why so few many people play hrothgar in the first place, i think its possible to make them appeal to appeal to furries and people who aren't

I'm not sure what the point of these comments are? They are appealing to both to an extent: The hrothgar women even have a flatter, human face option for people who want that. It's at the end of the trailer, they've literally got a high resolution render of it. I've seen plenty of people remark about how they like it, whether they're not as into the beastly face or because it reminds them of FFXI's mithra.
The devs have already stated they don't really care about popularity (somewhere after timestamp 04:27:47) on top of all this:
There's also people saying, "But, probably not that many people will play as female hrothgar." But I'm thinking, you know, we've come this far and it's not really a matter of will they be super popular. It's not like everyone needs to use all races equally. (...)
So you know, people decide what character to play for a lot of different reasons, will focus on the inside or the outside and some people may play a lot of this type of character or not a lot of the other type of character... That really gives the world a lot of variety. And especially because we're aiming to be a game that you can play solo or with friends, to be honest, we're not that overly focused on, like, 'Oh, everyone will play this thing equally.' As long as everyone's having a good time.

I'll be honest, I really don't like that face for female Hrothgar... just makes me think of Miqo'te.I'm not sure what the point of these comments are? Which is funny because...

Assuming Wuk Lamat's the fourth face option, tho there's no way of confirming it, I'm glad they kept it at one humanoid face.
SE was actually super smart for this, because I'm sure there are people who were hoping they all looked like Mithra. Everyone gets what they want, and I can't wait until the benchmark gets released x3

Not as many people played hrothgar due to lack of visible headgear and for the longest time you had to fantasia to change simple aspects of a hrothgar. aspects that other races could change at an aesthetician without consuming a fantasia- I don't know if it's still like that for Hrothgar but for sure, it's nothing to do with the fact with whatever nonsense you're spewing
And if you think your GF will get mad at you for -checks notes- fem hroth being too ugly? I'll help you & your GF out by giving you a free tip: Do the common sense thing & make a fem hroth alt 1st to see if it's even what she likes instead of spending money. Try before you buy
and PS: male hroths are hot af

That's all you had to say, dude. Jumping in with weird and unkind remarks doesn't accomplish anything here, we're all just putting our thoughts out with no guarantee the devs will regard them either way.
Thankfully, can confirm this is no longer the case! Though unfortunately, as the other post states, the men still can't swap out race unique hairstyles specific to the chosen face. (Example: The coeurl face cannot have the ronso face's starting hairstyle, etc.) Here's hoping that gets sorted out, and that the women don't also have that trouble.
