Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

I like the aesthetic of femgar so much more than malegar. But this always happens with this game (and most video games overall), where the female equivalent of the big muscular race always looks better and what I'd like the male option to look more like as well. You know, pretty, tall and buff but not ridiculous hulking bodybuilder proportions.

Question: will we wait until the summer, or will they appear “a little earlier”, as was promised once upon a time?

Unfortunately, I'm about 99% sure we'll have to wait at least 6 months since this isn't going to get released earlier. The only nice thing is that if you are a new player or returning player and don't want to worry about buying Dawntrail till you get to that point in the game you can play as a Hrothgal since all you need is Shadowbringers after Dawntrail releases.

But here is the official art of them, I think the Archer who is with the back towards us is face 2. Of course, I could be wrong.



P.S: Don't think I have not noticed the Blue one with long white hair SE!

Well using your image compared to the end of the reveal trailer bellow I think what we need to compare is ears, general eye shape, and face markings since those are tied to faces and the faces in the trailers tend to lack additional Facial Options (Provided that the art is made with the current version of the Hrothgals).



So looking at the two and using the numbers you placed for the faces we come up with the following:
Face 1: Trailer Center = Art Sitting (Ears are Lioness rounded)
Face 2: Not Shown in Trailer = Hand Wraps (Ears and eyes don't match the other 3 and no face markings)
Face 3: Trailer Left = Art GNB (Ears are curved to a point)
Face 4: Trailer Right = Art Archer (can't see the face but it looks like she has the smallest length from nose to lip and ears appear to be triangular in shape)

So if my guess is right (Which I could be wrong which I have been before) Hand Wraps should be our missing Face 2 Hrothgal from the trailer which I'm guessing has 4's triangular ears with 1/2's more cat life face and maybe the rounder softer eyes judging for the art work.

As for me I'm at a 90% thinking day 1 Hrothgal, other 10% is waiting to get my hands on the Benchmark to make sure since I hope I can find the options I want and that we don't have a Male issue with launch hair tied to faces.

There is more proof with the far right having almost identical face markings, like face 4 males!

So, good morning and congratulations! The trailer almost made me wary, haha. The silhouette was intriguing, just the head seemed a bit odd in the CG. But the game models look REALLY nice. The body type is 12/10, and the faces that were shown seem like a decent attempt to find a balance between those who were expecting something more animalistic and those who wanted a more human look. I wonder what kind of face 4 is. Would hope for a coeurl's one. The outfit is absolutely beautiful.

Also wonder if this was a joke about fantasia. Well, I've already stocked up just in case... And will definitely try, although what's on the voices is still questionable. But believing in the best.

But it's definitely a win if you ask me. Definitely.

I could see them being kinda locked to the new graphic update at least, so it will depend on if they release the graphic update ( for content pre dawntrail ) before the release or it will all come with the expansion. we will have to wait and see.

I wonder what the devs excuse will be when the Hrothgals can't wear hats. They don't have long ears getting in the way (they look shorter than Miqo'te's). They don't have the slouch the males have. All they'd have to do is make had versions of a dozen or so race-only hairstyles.

And those references to the Queen's costume that many have been wanting are actually here, no less. With the release of male Viera and female Hrothgar, you can feel how much care and love was put into every detail, and it's amazing.

They look alright! Bigger than my tastes, but still feminine enough, particularly the face on the right and left. The middle face is a bit weird, but overall not a bad reveal!

I realized there is something that bothers me with the faces.
Some faces are completely bland of any face marking or fur pattern which is weird for a feline.

I don't know if anyone else agrees?

They look alright! Bigger than my tastes, but still feminine enough, particularly the face on the right and left. The middle face is a bit weird, but overall not a bad reveal!

The one on the right is my favorite of the three. Looks like a combination of a roe and miqote.
