So basically the only thing I have in regards to FF14 stuff is probably just videos of the game and references to the game itself. So I should be safe, right?Well for starters, they rarely punish your game account for actions outside of the game.
However, in very rare cases, they have punished content creators' game accounts, often using the Materials Usage License as a reason. They cannot do this if they don't know what your account is. It's your decision to connect your accounts by linking to your YouTube via your game or forum account, it's your decision to use footage showing evidence you control a certain account and it's your decision to declare in videos or elsewhere the connection between your YouTube and game accounts.
It is actually far more likely that YouTube would punish your YouTube account for that line though.
Technically, the Materials license says the game footage should be intact ie. the music, footage and everything should be together in its original form and not edited except for any exceptions mentioned in the license. You should read through the license I linked to in case you aren't sure about this.
Referencing the game without any footage is fine. That's just freedom of speech.
Realistically, is SE going to go and police every little youtube channel? I doubt it.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."
