On the QoL end I think it would be nice to see the scaling of a FATE, and then feature side might be adjust awards accordingly to the above system. This feature can be used as an actual content feature, but is already in the game, hidden, by the way of when a FATE fails the FATE becomes weaker. So now you could see if a FATE was scaled down or not. However, as I said by scaling rewards it would make it also a feature in the sense you might think "hard fate, with platinum bonus- heck yeah!", or alternatively "that FATE is going to be a HUGE pain in my rear, no thanks" and save yourself a lot of frustration.
Good idea.

This could be whole system too like an item, limited per week like the wondrous tails books, such that you collect 'experience' into the item (like spirit bonding almost) and then trade it into an NPC. In this way you could accelerate the value (as it's limited), but also it doesn't create as much of a bot farm potential (as you couldn't just turn on the bot and walk away for hours). If that goes well can add extra layers (like with Wondrous tails, the Ishgard moogle stuff, etc).
No. People already use bots to farm bicolor gemstones. The only thing that needs to change with EXP relating to FATEs is making EXP Bonus FATEs also give bonus Bicolors.
