Probably a fair amount of them. Hunt trains are still going strong, lagging entire instances as they drop the equivalent of a nuke on a couple monsters then leave. I both participate in such and feel the results of such while gathering. I go to the crystarium and see tons of people still grinding out those crafter relics. Myself included.

Why is it that y'all take this stance the game is bleeding players, losing thousands by the day, and then when given factual data showing otherwise...default to ALL those people being AFK? When a simple trip through the game shows otherwise. Makes legit no sense.

Just wait for Zepla and crew to start making their own reaction videos on the article.

Kinda surprised anyone noticed that article in the first place. Most of the streamers and clickbaiters seem to be focused on saying the Blizzard is going to charge $100 USD for the Diablo 4 Expansion...

Simply put, with DT essentially be a restart of the game, if it’s not as good or better than ARR, we have problems.

Except it's not a restart of the game.

It's a restart of the story. The game itself is going to have more or less the same content formula we've had so far.

If you're looking for DT to be totally different, you're out of luck. You're going to have the MSQ with dungeons at 91, 93, 95, 97, 99 and 100. You're going to have trials at 93, 99 and 100. The first 2 trials will be available as EX on release. The level 100 trial will be available as EX in 7.1. There will be the 8 man raid released in 7.05. The Alliance raid will release in 7.1. There will be 2 Ultimates at whatever point SE decides they're ready for release. There will be Variant/Criterion at whatever point SE chooses to release them (they are still too new to know how they're going to fit into the formula). Deep Dungeon will probably be 7.3. New Limited job will probably be 7.4. Since a new exploratory zone is going to be a late addition, it will probably be one of those 2 patches as well.

The game will be fine as it has a core base of players now. Whether or not you will enjoy it is something else. It's easy to get tired of a game after a decade.

You know even if 99% of players decided to stay in Balmung QS all day, the game would still be fine, a lot of people don't do actual combat content in this game or barely and that's fine, housing keeps most of my time and I have friends to hang out with.

You can argue that the game is more of a social life Sim than a combat content game though I'd agree with that, but I am partially part of that demographic so yeah, this game is just very social and I love that about it, mixed with housing I am loving my time in game.

The point being that even if (I don't think it's the case right now but could be wrong) pfs amount went down by 50%, it still doesn't mean the game is doing bad, it means the content is very stale which is a reality, that's why I stay away from it, it's just too boring, the jobs are also sadly just as boring too so it's too much for me to even bother, but most aspects of the game aside from combat content and leveling I love.

I run dungeons multiple times a day because I want achievement title for all my tanks

I do Savage runs almost every day

But I am considered to be one of those evil Limsa AFKers, who will be the downfall of our once beloved and glorious FFXIV according to this forum, because I can access those contents with few clicks on my menu while staying at Limsa, with idle poses that portents the inevitable doom of Square Enix

I recently resubbed to do all the endwalker post patch quests to be ready for dawntrial. I also worry about how the new story will turn out cause if it sucks then no reason to stay. I tried making friends before but the gaming community is way too different when I played ff11 so nothing really worth doing in ff14 aside from MSQ.

FF11 was my first mmorpg so it made me very loyal to the company cause of it. I been waiting for a new FF mmorpg and in most cases hope ff14 fails horribly so they can finally plan one. The only thing that really interest me about the new expac is the news of the FF11 based allied raids.

Why would anyone talk about this? Blizzard milks their players constantly for every dollar they can.
