Let's say you're in p12s doing superchain theory 1. You have to get through several gcds of bahamut while running between the shapes. You don't have time to fit casts in there, and losing demi gcds is a significant dps loss for summoner.

I do think summoner should have more casting, but this has to come with other improvements that allow the job to get mobility when it needs it like the other casters have. Swiftcast would help if raise is removed, but I don't think it would be enough. And we'd lose the ability to snapshot strong spells into the end of buff windows.
