Shouldn't SMN have a 1.5s GCD cast during Titan instead of being instant?

You can't just add casting to summoner as it currently is. The job is rigid; for example, you have to use bahamut at a specific time (when it's available). What happens when bahamut lines up with a movement-heavy mechanic and each bahamut gcd is a 1.5s cast?

Let's say you're in p12s doing superchain theory 1. You have to get through several gcds of bahamut while running between the shapes. You don't have time to fit casts in there, and losing demi gcds is a significant dps loss for summoner.

I do think summoner should have more casting, but this has to come with other improvements that allow the job to get mobility when it needs it like the other casters have. Swiftcast would help if raise is removed, but I don't think it would be enough. And we'd lose the ability to snapshot strong spells into the end of buff windows.

Obviously this doesn't address my point at all since it's responding to my specific example without considering the overall point. You may not always be able to slidecast, depending on the mechanic's design. The point is that other casting jobs have ways to gain mobility when they need it and summoner does not.

But if we want to talk about healers... white mage has lilies, sage has phlegma and toxikons. I don't play the other healers and so I won't speak for them. However, I did look up clear PoVs of p12s with both AST and SCH, and saw neither of them actually slidecast there.
