Give DJ/ Roleplay events their own tab

As much as the report thing sounds fair enough if you feel like someone is spamming, the game makes it a pain to even report. At this point I've stopped even reporting the people openly rmting in uldah aetheryte since I know the gm's won't do anything at least to the buyer. If it was a little slide down option to report the shout I would feel a lot more inclined to let them gm's know but as of this moment it's not worth wasting 5-10 minutes typing a report on console just for them to not get any form of punishment.

uh there's literaly a menu option on a person's name to report them as rmt... couple clicks... what the hell are you filling out forms for for the rmt in /say?

I don't know how well it'd work considering i read they tried larger amounts of people in a LS and the game crashed or something, but i just read another thread askign for a global chat. Global chat for the whole world you're on. That would actually be a damn good idea, but not for the reasons they wanted it. lol They (the ad spammers) wouldn't have to jump around so much so the venue shouts would go to global.... and 90% of us would probably turn global off in our chat tabs. Problem solved... and shout would be normal again (normal being subjective considering some of the things i've read lol).

Edit: Actually... now that i laid down in bed it hit me... Hunt trains would want to use global chat instead of jumpin around... so it'd just turn into the same damn thing, just globally..... nevermind...

Edit 2: Reply to Jojo cause it won't let me post anymore.. lol wtf? Jojo there wouldn't be any chatter cause 90% of us would turn global off in our chat tabs to avoid the "shout ads" for venues. Like I said then we'd miss the hunt trains cause they'd prolly wanna use global too. I don't know why u say they wouldn't. They hop around as it is announcing hunt trains.... Actualy if u classify ads as chatter..... ugh last night i was half asleep, now i'm half awake. nForget it i'm done on this lol.

Can't speak for all conductors/spawners but I wouldn't want to use a global chat for hunt announcements. They would get lost in the general chatter rapidly scrolling by.

What they need to do is take whatever allows Novice Network to have up to 500 online players in it simultaneously and apply it to linkshells. That would greatly reduce the number of linkshells needed for communication/coordination by the larger sub communities like hunts.

Global Chat would just turn into the Balmung Quicksand chat but on a widespread scale. Everything you see in it, is exactly what you could expect to see in a global chat. Ads, recruits, hunt announcements included along with the other random bits that make people go "Wtf did I just log into...".

Can we just ban the lot of them. Holy crap this trend has destroyed the casual experience. Do you know how hard it is as a casual player to find an FC that actually wants to play the game? It has completely ruined my experience, and I don't even participate in this garbage. Just ban hammer them all. Countless people from different DC's spamming up the chat. I'm getting tired of blacklisting them. They are like bots anyway. It's always a new name spouting their refuse on all of us. I have no sympathy. Ban them like bots. Get them outta here.

They are the Eorzean equivalent of bikers revving their bikes at the stop light. We get it, you're a child. Can we move on? I don't care if they're having fun. Their garbage is stinking. I can't avoid it no matter where I go. I can only blacklist so many of these flies. Seriously, no joke ban them all. It would be fine if they quarantined themselves to Crystal, but they're everywhere. Like herpes infecting every aspect of the game. If they minded their own like normal RPers do I wouldn't care in the slightest.

I mean, you're also on Dynamis and the majority on there are there for housing and go to other DCs for content. I'm not entirely shocked an active FC there is hard to find.

I was half asleep and didn't read what you wrote. No, I'm leaving this dumpster of a datacenter. Sorry, I sleepingly ranted away about the perils of unmoderated venue bots below. Enjoy the insanity, sorry.

They aren't from Dynamis, though. That's the problem. The spam in general should be bannable, but even then, they're like bots. They just crank out level 1s like gil seller bots. They are gone so fast, and black listing does nothing since they will just make another alt. It's frustrating because they spam paragraphs that fill up your chat log. It makes hub cities annoying. And I still stand by what I said. Ban them all.

It's no longer some fun organic community event. They're businesses. Their ads are just as aggressively being shoved down your throat. I'd block shout chat, but then that negatively affects Hunt trains. Since I lose direction from the conductor. Granted, I could infer from group behavior, but still. I shouldn't have to remove a chat channel from my log because of aggressive bots spamming. Again, ban them all.

And I don't enjoy saying that. This isn't some crusade by me against venues. I generally don't care what other players are doing as long as they aren't hurting themselves or anyone else. But it's so aggressive that I'm forced to talk about it. I played on RP servers for years. I've played and RPed in D&D for years. I have nothing but respect for RP players. But something is wrong here and a tab for them on the party finder isn't going to fix the spam. Hell, I don't think banning will either, but maybe the threat of it would calm it down. I doubt it, but let me dream.
