Fact is even when 2.0 comes out the servers will still be located in Japan adding a lot of latency for people not in Japan.     I'll reserve judgement until 2.0 is out. Getting hit by stuff when on your screen it looks like your out of the way shouldn't happen.
    Who says Garuda will be hard because of latency o.O?

    And really you dont need that great of latency in an MMORPG. Any problems caused by latency can be entirely fixed by optimizing the server. This isn't an FPS, or a game that requires split second timing.

    Some other mmo's are much faster paced almost as fast as a FPS. Mostly because they also support PVP so they need a faster gameplay rate. In comparison FFXIV battle rate is pretty slow compared to most everything else out there.
