Dynamis literally didnt even stand a chance because of it. It ruined it

Already have one on Marilith going back to the first few days of dynamis going up, and I recently added one on Seraph too. Queuing on Aether is better than not queuing at all, and having access to developed market boards + a few million gil from my main also really helps. I wouldn't bother using either char without the benefits of DC travel and there just aren't enough new players to keep Dynamis alive without alts, at least until DT or xbox.

Nah the problem of dead servers existed long before dynamis or before DC travel. In the late 5.5 lull before EW even Aether was unplayably dead past midnight server time.

Sad thing is, back then we only had weeks to wait before the expansion, now we have 8 months to ride through this content lull.

I will fully admit that I contribute to the problem. I tried when I first got on Dynamis to do content here, but in the time I was waiting for the queue, I could have completed more with my time on Aether. Should they open PF / DF to be cross DC, then I would be more than happy to stay on Dynamis to do content. At the same time, I do have friends on Aether that does require me to be there (Hunt trains, maps, etc.), so I would still need to transfer there for those, but I would say my time would be 95 / 5 split of staying on Dynamis versus the 5 / 95 I am now.

It's not that "everyone is traveling to Aether". It's that "everyone who sets up high-end raid parties" goes to Aether. That isn't enough to create massive travel queues. But it's enough to kill the concept of pugging extreme and savage on other data centers.

Now this is a reasonable comment. However that is not what I was responding to, I was responding to someone saying their entire Primal DC was completely dead and absolutely no one was online because they *all* are just DC travelling to Aether, which obviously isn't true, their DC is dead because the game is in a content draught in a .4/5 patch again like it has every time and for some reason every time the player base drops pre-expac everyone has to find some weird excuse why instead of just looking at the exact same cycle of events that has repeated since HW
