Petition for Instanced housing

Add more wards to fix the housing scarcity.

There are other games if you want instanced housing, or apartments in FFXIV.

Problem with this is new wards only can increase linearly while player counts increase exponentially. You will never keep up that way.
Also the liminal space that wards are aren't worth the headache of these horrific housing systems like placard clicking or lottery.

The problem is instanced housing would ruin their prestige. And maybe include blocklists that would keep them out of venues they don't own but perceive they have a right to enter (because its public, but insert "you keep using this word, I'm not sure you know what it means" meme).

I hate lottery as much as you do really, but the players asked for it because they wanted a "fair" system, and we got it.

Instead of 10-20 people at a placard, you have 100 if not more for anything that is not a small, it's literally what people wanted.

Also side note, Valk get over yourself and stop being childish, it ain't a good look, time to grow up a little, you can disagree with me I have absolutely 0 issues with that, but this childish energy is not it.

If they made the appartements bigger than a standard FC room, that would greatly alleviate the issue. They already cost like half a mil, how about being able to buy different sizes? Being able to visit your floor neighboors or something that isn't just a list would be huge too imo.

That is also a good solution yes, different sizes with maybe the largest including a balcony for gardening purpose wouldn't be a bad thing, because the fact is instanced housing already exists, that's what apartments are.

It will still be neglected on any non overpopulated world because everyone will have it so it ain't a "flex", but at least the option would be there.

Lmao we can't even get a normal blacklist to function properly, you expect them to make one specifically for housing? XD

Also we all know the housing system is the way it is to incentivize people to stay subbed and it works. Square hasn't made any attempts to fix it and people have been asking for years. Instanced housing is a pipedream in this game.

Prestige of what exactly?
Who cares about what limsa afkers think about something like this. Everyone having access to the system is objectively superior than artificial scarcity so people can pretend to have pretend internet cred.

If you need to feel superior to others, owning a house in the game is a pretty shit way to go about it.

Also the way ffxiv housing works is literally a prestige system, you upgrade from small to large which are a very fought over scarce resource.

It ain't about people feeling superior, it's called reaching a goal, but in today's world, God forbid having to put effort into something, muh instant gratification, I want it and I want it now! And yes that even goes for housing, it's called putting effort into something.

I think adding more medium/large homes per ward would be a much better result. Right now there's a ton of small plots that are left unclaimed (mainly in newer wards) and it just makes wards feel/look empty.

Those would be scooped up immediately by personal buyers if they did away with the FC ward distinction, which they absolutely should do.

Putting effort does not equal dealing with rng. You know what putting effort is? Amassing the gil necessary to buy one, along with getting all the furnishing to decorate your home however you want.

Seriously stop with this "prestige" nonsense and acting like limited housing is such a good thing. Youre being completely selfish just because you feel like youre owed having to deal with FFXIV's bullcrap system.
