Yeah lets base that opinion on a minority of people playing on the cloud DC.
JP players have always said no to cross region, they dont want english speaking people.

My point that you seem to have missed is that the purported reason for them not wanting it was NA's toxicity. I wanted to point out the hypocrisy of that objection.

They don't want NA and EU toxicity but yet there just as toxic or even more toxic then those communities to the point of putting people on public blacklist websites ganging up on people to harass them to the point of getting people to delete characters and out casting them and doxxing simply for how people perform in duties. Or send death threats when developers implement something they don't like.
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.
Im so sick and tired of this bullshit separatism especially in an MMO. It goes against the spirit of the genre and honestly this was supposed to be the intention for the philosophy of FFXI and FFXIV, otherwise we wouldnt have such a thing as an auto-translate feature.
You cant get away from toxicity. It exists in every culture. But that shouldnt be the reason for not allowing players from all over the world play with each other.
If the massive majority of their community is agaisnt it, it shouldnt be forced upon them.Im so sick and tired of this bullshit separatism especially in an MMO.
