    While I can completely understand that many people would want to see improvement is CC/FL/RW , using this as an excuse to AFK is a lame excuse.

    I would instead fully support VoidsendStatus, however if damage and healing checks were introduced the system might also have to check the length of time that the person was in the match. Enforce automated lockouts , I also like those penalties.

    That doesn't mean that I wouldn't want improvements- I do- if this system was in place if I was Square I would also be watching just how lockouts trended since that should tell me if there were some issues that required some deeper analysis.

    You perfectly know that they'll never implement such checks in the game for the simple reason it goes completely against all of their philosophy regarding skill levels, and opens a huge can of worms on where to set the bar on top of it. That's a silly dream to have, it's like that idea of rewarding people on post game damage/healing/crystal time tallies that ultimately tell very little.

    I still see AFK'ers in Frontlines too.
    They'll actively go hide somewhere and avoid all contact and engagement the entire match.
    Zero's across the board for their score when the match is over.

    Same. More stuff to buy with crystals would be nice.
    Maybe the older pvp malmstones series rewards.
    I've been buying wolf collars.... because.
    Maybe I'll decide to get something with them when I have room to store the gear somewhere.

    Easy to fix. Winning should be closer to 1400xp to offset the fact that two quick losses are better than 1 drawn-out win. That way, nothing is gained from forcing losses.

    But the elephant in that room is how terrible series XP is in general to deal with. It is such a slog, and it's why people force losses. I still try to win, but I'd much rather be time efficient. I'm an adult with a life. If I see an easier way for something as trivial as this, I consider it. All I'm saying.

    Having one PvP GM per DC would already go far in resolving all the issues ranging from AFKing to variety of Griefing.

    Losing should only give half as much series xp. The current difference is to small to incentivize winning.

    The elephant in the room is that this is yet another lame excuse, many of us 'have a life" and have responsibilities that limit the amount of time that can be dedicated to a personal hobby like FFXIV.


    As others have pointed out, if you wanted to hit level 25, you could commit to around 15 minutes a day and you'd be done in a few weeks- don't quote me on the exact figure, but that's literally one FL a day. The calculation has been done for CC as well, the point be that it hardly qualifies as a slog, provided that you have an interest in any of the PVP modes. So, forcing a loss which ends up ruining the experience for other people, in what may be their only match of the day- due to their limited time- is not only unnecessary but selfish.
