The biggest issue for me is engaging in 26 campaigns over the course of a day and not winning a single match
And not just not winning, but getting third place every single time
Might want to consider taking a break. 26 matches a day is quite a bit. What job are you playing? Try high impact jobs like DRK/AST/DRG/SMN/SCH. Maybe get a group to coordinate engages.
There isn't even an " I win job". Get a job that fits, that you understand, and that you practise on, you'll stand a better chance than someone who gets onto one of the supposedly OP jobs but doesn't feel comfortable in that job.
There isn't really a reason to review it. It's meant to be a gradual progression achievement just like the role achievements in Crystalline Conflict. There's plenty of other things to work on instead of spamming this to death in hopes of speeding up a process that is made to work the way it does. Clotho is right as well. You're only real option for trying to sway the 1/2/3 rate is to make a group.
Not so much an 'I win' as more as preferable. AOE spam is king in FL. But yeah definitely not dying and making sure the other team dies is the greatest contributor.
Well no, there isn't "I win" jobs per se, but I would argue there certainly are a few jobs that contribute less than others or just don't jive in Frontlines. Namely, RDM, SGE and to a lesser degree DNC, MNK, RPR and even SCH under circumstances.
- RDM and SGE don't get to use their hardest-hitting bursts unless they jump-in point blank: which is oftentimes suicidal if they aren't specifically chasing alongside stronger jobs or don't have the cover of a whole team. Yeah, SGE has their LB, but it's as situational and useful as Aquaman.
- DNC can work, but you're always on the cusp of being in the line of fire and getting the most out of their LB basically sticks an apple in your mouth and serves you on a plate unless you have a legion of tanks/melee to stand behind.
- MNK and RPR enjoy the defense bonus as the other melees and tanks, but they usually aren't nearly as threatening as jobs like DRGs or SAMs and usually don't contribute to a huge AoE push. RPR's AoE unblockable/cleansable LB CC is good, but requires set-up from others to get anything out of it.
- Yes, I included SCH. I know it has the potential to be a monster in (large) groups or with teams that are steamrolling/pushing, but absent of both of those, they swing hard in the other direction and can be kind of useless. No matter how many enemies you nail with it, spreading Biolysis on your own is kind of useless if you aren't getting kills or assists off of it because your team is bad/passive as hell because there's more than enough room for them to heal/elixir through it if there's no follow-up. The same goes for Adlo; buffing your teammates doesn't do any good if they can't manage to kill anyone.
Leave the current set as it is and release a higher quality version, similar to the Allagan and Crystal Tower gear, for Trophy Crystals. Everyone is happy.
What about the people that grinded out the achievement. Pretty sure they wont be happy everyone else gets a better version for free. Now if you could trade the old one in with trophy crystals for a dyable version I would be cool with that.
There are much worse grinds in the game considering you can get the coat solo in a month or so if you know what you're doing.
