I actually remember that being stated as the reason for why Energy Drain got it's potency nerfed in ShB...but then you looked at SCH logs and saw that they actually did most of the healing and you immediately had to question if the devs even played their own game.

Meanwhile it's White Mage players that have the reputation of being DPS greedy far more than the other jobs.
