we don't know but WoW forums seems to think its towards classic atm so i lean that way because i expect people playing the game have better understanding of their population and how it compares to normal / peak times than websites or people on a different game entirely.

I do also play classic. So I am one of those players. It just seems like it right now due to streamers and YouTubers all playing classic since they can get better content from it.

Classic is really good for entertainment but actually playing it is a nightmare for younger gamers due to all the lack of QOL.

i played from 05-22 so yea i can say classic is a nightmare without QoL but it hard that charm and a better sense of accomplishment vs retail, Classic every level feels more like a achievement and like you have done something because of the difficulty of it vs retail where its a challenge not to sleep when leveling, but Retail has better more advanced endgame raids with better loot distribution. i play neither now, never could get back into classic just cuz i already played it, i have the memories from it and though i did try once AV got released i quit because i saw classic is not and never will be classic, it will be classic lyte because gamers changed and how we play the game changed. Once i saw AV was no longer the war that would last hours in a back and forth fight i realized its not what i wanted and i should just be happy i experienced the real thing.
