I know I will get told that then don't do them blah blah. Well I play I get my say too. Not everyone has a mind that can do these type of synths and I feel like I am one of them. These tools have barely usefulness for one expansion then they are back to glam like the rest of everything we earn. They should be on the same difficulty level then as dow/dom relics. If they stayed with us and continuously got upgraded then I could see it. The special items for the island makes perfect sense. But not crafting relics

There is nothing difficult about them. Just hit a node or use a crafting macro x times. Takes about the same time as grinding tomes. You get them now, you are good till next year mid-summer.

It's hard to tell what point you're trying to make.

The Expert recipes for the relic tools are not difficult and are exceptionally forgiving compared to standard Expert recipes. You only need to reach about 60% of maximum rating to turn in compared to the 99.6% needed for standard Expert recipes and that 60% is easy to reach with a macro. You can complete the upgrade in less time than it takes to earn 1500 Causality to upgrade a combat relic (and that includes the time needed to make the collectables to get the scrip to buy the special materials).

If you're just looking for a shiny glamour, there are plenty of other tools with shiny glamours to choose from. If you just want them to say you collected them, you've got at least 8 months to work on them before Dawntrail will be released.

If you just want a good tool for less effort, craft Indagators and pentameld. Pentamelding right now is basically free for anyone who has kept up with their Island Workshop even if they've purchased all the Island exclusives with their cowries. You won't have the additional .25 multiplier bonus on Good procs but that's only helpful if you're manually crafting Master or Expert recipes and it doesn't sound like you are.
