I mean it looks like hats will never happen, the gear sets they showed still had viera and hroth in sets that dont have hats..

Funny thing is most, if not all Hrothgar in the cinematic are wearing hats lol

Looking back at the trailer I didn’t notice how many hrothgar show up, especially since they were absent from the Shadowbringers cinematic if I remember right. They’re all shown wearing head gear that also shows the side of the face, so no face coverings like the reaper job gear. If the cinematic is true to what we can expect in game then either its a good sign that theres been some updates to viera/hrothgar, or it may just work similar to how the felicitous hood works and just obscures all of the hair/head just leaving the face.

With female hrothgar finally being added and the graphics update its either now or never for fixing viera/hrothgar. Its been so many years now waiting, surely in just a few months with the last fanfest they’ll finally show viera and hrothgar races complete, with hairstyles and headgear. Right? *huffs that copium”

If they're doing it I could see it being similar to the hairstyles where they work in batches, but that's still a big if considering the amount of work going into the graphics update + female Hrothgar so I'll have some of that copium too.

Here I am....itching to fantasia to miqo instead. Sometimes I use certain.....eh...programs to just get a feel for being miqo again without having to fantasia and.....the VARIETY of hats is insane. How you can change the character is just crazy. I miss it. With the new glams coming out with headpieces that again werent available I felt like it took away my creativity. My friends went crazy for the new pvp gear. I got excited for the hood and then.....can't use it anyway. then again it dyes terribly but still...

You know what the worst part about that set is? the hoods literally have a zipper right where the ears should be, and yes, there's already a mod that opens it to let them through.

My only hope is that SE will buy that hat mod that they MUST know exists and just implements it into 7.0. "We appreciate the enthusiastic work from the community and have been working with some really talented creators to bring this into the game".
