    I'm of two minds on this. On one hand, the very bright limbal rings we have are VERY cool, and I do like them. That said, sometimes when I mess around with them it feels kinda... too bright? Like when you peruse through the lighter colors they end up looking the same because whatever effect they have just cranks up the luminosity. So I do like how the new limbal rings seem to fix that issue, but it goes way too far I think. Nudge it up a little.

    Au Ra limbal rings glowing is a unique feature to the race and it looks nice. But you can have both—we already have colour selection for limbal rings in the Aesthetician, so the deeper/darker colours could be closer to what they've shown in the preview. Keep the lighter colours glowy please!

    I think, before you go AGAISNT the change you should experience it itself on something like benchmark to see if you really is agaisnt it or just being anxious on things you can find a bridge between

    I think it's more troublesome for the devs to only give them feedback closer to release. They can judge for themselves whether these concerns are valid, but if we wait for the benchmark, they might say "Oh we had no idea, but we don't have time to change it now."

    I have two Au Ra alts and the bright glow of the limbal rings is a huge part of their look, to the point where removing it means they're no longer the same characters. It's easy to remove the "dead" look but keep glowing limbal rings, and removing the ring's glow removes a lot of the charm for me.

    As a game dev (though not for s-e), i can confirm that you want to hear feedback on something like this as early as possible. It's a huge pain to have to undo work closer to release.

    Understandable, though I think with the new highlights that's going to be moved away from regardless and I can't think of a way to preserve it without having Au Ra eyes as the weird shine-less outliers (like how I'm trying to think of a better way to give more depth while also retaining the current glassy doll eyed charm of Dunesfolk and coming up blank).

    I'd love to have both as options. Some characters the hard edges look great, and in some the softer edges would look good. Like the 'Light' and 'Dark' options for lipstick colors, there could be 'Hard' and 'Soft' options for the limbal rings.
