As for "unethical", when I started this game, I had 20 people with me on the placard for a small goblet, I didnt start to check their fc, or ask them why they are getting it and telling them they shouldnt get it, they put in the work, they have the right to get it, just like everybody else, if they were multiowners, good on them, I am more than happy for them just as much as if someone that just started had gotten it.

Also I lost that house and moved on to the next one, that's life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, you never saw me complain about it on the forums.

A good TLDR of your post is : The more work you put in, the more you get, which is fair not only in game but also IRL.

Good responses. Meh even if you report it they do nothing. Like there's an outcry for housing but a select few own so many it's not funny. So someone who maybe has 50mil to bid on a large if it opens will never have the opportunity.

Mostly because it's someone selling it for 750mil to I think highest I've heard was 1.2 billion now for a large. It screams RMT to be honest.

People gonna end up spending irl money just to get that large lol. I myself want to move my fc from it's medium into a large but not willing to pay 750mil just to accomplish this.

Not to mention larges never open up for lottery. If they do its super rare and pounced on by like 200+ players.

Note that purchasing a plot of land with the intent to resell is not the same thing as deciding to resell later on. This is therefore rather difficult to prove, as people typically hold onto houses for a while before selling them regardless of intent. It's also quite common for those seeking to flip houses to decorate them first. Both of these things make it quite difficult for Square-Enix to determine intent, which is why the vast majority of these cases will see zero consequences.

Someone who didn't purchase with intent to resell wouldn't be using a website to get rid of their house.

Is there a way to transfer private houses? Far as I know you can only do it with FCs, which is a tad annoying.

Only by transferring the entire service account with the house, which is a violation of the ToS even if there is no money or gil involved (outside of some very specific exceptions involving family members and done with the assistance of SE).

You don't use party finder alot do ya lol. Come onto aether and check pf under other. The ad should still be up

I use PF for hunts and to fill Dynamis first time completion for MSQ listings. I usually ignore the rest.

I suspect the only players who are going to know the website you're referring to are those who are interested in buying/selling or who see themselves as the game's morality police.

Just cause you make a fortune selling houses don't mean others do ya know. For someone like me with 4 mil. Would take me quite a bit of work to get 850mil to get a large for my own fc guaranteed.

So where that leave me. Tempt fate with rmt and have the amount I need quicker for a possibility that I will get the house guaranteed in 30 days

That large is guaranteed to be won by someone. This is the only statement we can do.
"who" is yet to be decided: this is why the system is impartial.
Just ask trusted/reliable FC members to bid and see what happens. In the end you just need to win once, if it's not this time, there is another in 9 days.

I have friends that have over 2B gil just by selling furniture. I have friends that have made 500m in one night through death rolling. I personally market board flip on Aether for 50-100m every week by using publicly available sources that can be found through a simple Google search or a YouTube search.

Do more to earn gil (i.e. do some research and put in a little bit of effort) instead of assuming that people who can afford expensive things just resort to using a credit card or sell houses. It really isn't that hard to make gil without even needing a house.

Ethics mean nothing in a video game/MMO where people are encouraged to be someone else and not themselves. The fact of the matter is, a lot of people operate under personas and do things they may not do in real life because they have the perk of anonymity here and lack of real world consequences. Hell, am I the only one who remembers back when placard camping was a thing and people would come in and snipe plots off people with relocating? Whether or not people want to admit it is up to them but I'm sure there are those who hated getting sniped and sniped other people after they got their plot finally for revenge or for the same advantage others had. At the end of the day, we're paying a fee to have fun and do whatever we please within the bounds of the ToS.
The only thing that matters is whether or not it's violating a rule and what action Square takes as a response to it.
Since Square hasn't done anything about the people who own entire wards (even though they have been reported), think that speaks on where they stand in regards to it.
