    Same. Every time I refresh the launcher, my opinion of Square Enix goes down and down....

    How many times has the playerbase requested that Steam not be required when launching the game? How many times has the playerbase requested that their account be separated from Steam? How many times has the playerbase said that they'd be willing to buy the game AGAIN separately from Steam just so they don't have to deal with it??

    Don't hate Steam, hate Square Enix. It was their decision to make it required to log in through Steam. They could change this at any time, but they don't care.

    I can't even get the launcher to ask me for my info. It just shows the error in bold red letters and gives up before it tries LOL

    I know. Before the forced steam thing you could literally use the retail launcher with the start option "-issteam" and now?... May the twelve have mercy with our pity lifes and allow us to play a game were we pay our monthly fee......

    noo, u have to be forced into steam bound launcher, so SE can put their game into steam charts. its not some EvE, where steam is used only as an alternative login method.
