    Reapers LB in PvP

    Cast 1 time Tenebrae Lemurum and cast another time Communio. PvP is so fast that 98% of the Times a Reaper can't cast this LB fast enough, cause every Player moved already away. As far other Players see a Reaper casting that stupid LB, they jump all on the Reaper and beat the shit out of him/her, before that Spell can be finished. That LB should be a single Cast Spell and not a double Cast Spell.

    TBH I was thinking more on an EX/Savage perspective... It's just an annoyance to prog through.

    Actually, I don't hate the mechanic per se, but I do hate the fact that nowadays almost every high end encounter has it. Let this be more of a rare occurrence.

    Thinking about high end mechanics on a second thought, I also wish they would give 'Limit Cut' some vacations through Dawntrail.

    "Body count" mechanics are most commonly referring to things that will either wipe you or result in more guaranteed deaths if you don't have your entire team, which can include, but is not limited to stuff like Enumeration.

    There's considerably more of them in the present vs. the ARR through SB era and I agree it's rather frustrating when you're essentially required to do every step of a given mechanic correctly to actually see more of a fight because it's impossible to recover if anyone dies at all at specific points.

    This is purely personal, but any mechanic that requires "spatial thinking" like rotating platforms, the star shower in the first EW trial, and the arrow mechanics in the new Alliance raid. I don't have a brain that can process it, simple as.

    Here's mine: Anything with tethers. That weird and inconsistent delay in swapping tethers or trying to distance them just right. Ex7 meteor tethers are a massive offender of this.

    The mechanic itself is very simple, executing it difficult because 1 step forward, your tether is bad, 1 step back your tether is bad, 1 step forward your tether is good. They took the USB port dilemma and decided to make it a mechanic and it's disgusting.
    Gonna second the absolutely awful tether mechanics, O10S Hot Tail and DSR P2 buster tethers (because those are the only ones I've seen in that fight) come to mind immediately. They're essentially a coin toss whether or not the tether passes correctly or randomly jumps to someone else because you were in their postal code.

    And then there is Exaflares, not a difficult mechanic in itself but the hitboxes often do not match the visual effect.

    as much as I can shill for fights like O11S or O12S any day of the week because I'm a helpless and biased Stormblood fan, I do not miss Bulwark. good riddance to that mechanic.

    I find MSQ patch duties the worst because you dont run them often, mistakes are usually low impact, and people want to get through quickly for their dailies so often nobody takes the time to point stuff out


    Anyway, any obtuse mechanics. Like the Cyclopes boss in Anamnesis Anyder when the axe and sword icons appear on the ground. First time I went in there it didnt make a lick of sense how that works and I still dont know. Nor do I care to know, it's probably something simple, just chronically unclear.


    I just follow others and hope for the best with stuff like that.
