Also yeah, Lion Heart would be nice. Maybe as a lvl 100 capstone skill?
Welp, at least we can tell what GNB is supposed to be. DRK is just sorta bleeding in the corner and hoping SE stops cutting off chunks of its very FFXIV-specific identity to make other classes.

And... yeah, I don't think we're gonna see Lion Heart, unfortunately. At least not in a form that remotely resemble its original iteration. It would've made a really nice LB3 if GNB had been a DPS, though.

I think we could still have Lion Heart, even if it's not a Limit Break, just like we still have Renzokuken without it being a Limit Break. The big question is if Square wants it, it would've made a better skill than Double Down at least.

Also let's not forget that we still have Lightning as another inspiration for GNB. Army of One could also be a future ability maybe?

It's bard without a doubt. It is two jobs conjoined together. You get a little bit of dot range and a little bit of music range but never enough of either to be totally satisfied. I would not be surprised at all if Bard is the next up for a rework because holy hell was it a lame ass job to play getting to 90.

Better hope their rework goes better than PLD's.

This is not a sleight towards you in any way, but I firmly believe that one of the skills that need to be worked on to play bard effectively is being able to keep tabs on many things at once while being able to essentially do mechanics with your periphery. I wholeheartedly understand that it's not for everyone and that's ok. I just personally find that aspect to be really fun for me.

PS: Bard needs a big dollop of love come the expac but I hope they keep the above proc reactive gameplay intact.

The class that had its toolkit ripped from its class fantasy and turned in to generic "tank skills" that are passed around to every tank. (looking at you Rampart.)
The tank that has its identity squashed every time it tries to re-find itself, the healing tank? the magic tank? the damage tank? the absorb shield tank? the /gpose tank?

It has gone from the most complicated tank we had,(really fun and rewarding to play,) to being reduced to face roll opening burst dump refill do it again in 2 mins..
Its now called "too easy" to be better then it already is as a result...

we DRK players never asked for it to be gutted, simplified, redistributed, but now its just a dps with a taunt and a nak for making healers frustrated its not a warrior when it queues in to your dungeon.

Went from "DRK can't be the only tank that does X its not fair." to now "We can't give every tank X they will be to homogenized."

(sorry for the edits, typed it in a hurry and had to clean it up a bit)
+1, couldn't have commented on DRK any better.

my second pick is Bard, I know they'll never do it, but I would've liked to have an Archer job instead and have Bard be a separate job.

    Wait, what?

PLD's rework has been generally well received. Some people dislike it, but it's not like some OTHER reworks where everyone is vocal about hating it. There's a thread in the tank forum area where someone was asking something like "So we all hate the PLD rework, right?" and the result was about 50/50, with even a lot of the people who don't like it saying it's not bad, it's just not what they were used to.

It seems the ultimate verdict on the PLD rework was "meh/neutral-to-good".

MNK's rework has generally been praised, and SMN's is hated by the forums/so-called "vocal minority" but seems to be generally well received by the playerbase at large.

The reworks that seem to be pretty close to universally disliked are...well, AST comes to mind as leading that contest.

I'll pitch in as someone who didn't like the new PLD as a PLD main since Stormblood.

While it's not SMN levels of bad, it's still not good. Goring Blade is uninteresting compared to the flow the DoT provided. Atonement is just kinda there as a follow-up, despite the fact that Holy Spirit should primarily be the follow-up, so all it does is delay the next Holy Spirit cast. Requiescat is purely Confit > Blades fodder.

There's ideas I like about new PLD where I think it has potential to be better than old PLD (which I think was nearing its limit on what extras we could add), and it's better defensively now. But still I ended up playing more RDM and WAR since the rework because the job I liked just doesn't feel right anymore, the rework feels very "cobbled together". The people I've seen say they like the rework have been people who never really played PLD suddenly jump on board after its rework, that's just personal experience though, there are definitely people who mained it previously that like the new one, I just don't see them as often.
