Sleeping, watching TV / YT. Checking to see if they'll let me download the updates before 6.5 goes live.
Was Champions the one that got nailed by one of the big comic book companies for basically putting everything a player needed to make exact copies of their franchise's characters?

Absolutely nothing, but it wasn't like I did anything before the maintenance either.

Ultima Online was fun for a while. Remember that comic Bonedewd and Platedewd? Funny stuff.Could never really get into Everquest for some reason.
This coming from someone that played numerous MMO's
Ultima Online
FFXI
Ragnarok Online
Grand Fantasia
RF Online
Eden Eternal
Shaiya
Perfect World
Allods
Wildstar
WoW (though not touched since about a month after Lich King launched)
Requiem: Bloodymare
FlyFF
Dofus
Dofus2
Wakfu
Wizard 101 (Because I had like 40 free item codes from something and felt like using them)
Phantasy Star Online
Phantasy Star Universe
Guild Wars
Guild Wars 2
Phantasy Star Online 2
Elder Scrolls Online
Pangea
I remember trying one of those superhero ones but can't remember if it was DC Universe online or City of Heroes. Also know there were a lot more I can't remember the name of.
EQ got me hooked though. I loved the raiding. Racing other guilds to the dragons or raid dungeons was epic. We used to call everyone up in the middle of the night when ToV popped, or when that cleric dragon would pop to get them their epics.
Fun stuff. Its a shame no other companies ever really recaptured that.
Instancing killed the thrill of beating other guilds to weekly spawns.
Glams and paints kinda killed some of the fun too. When you saw someone in full planar armor, or other set armor, you knew what they had to do to get it.
On one side I like glamour systems simply because I've never been a fan of the cobbled together mismatched armor/clothing looks in games that generally resulted from people trying to min/max specific stats. However I preferred the older method of encouraging usage of complete armor/clothing sets via set bonuses activated by wearing multiple pieces of the set or the entire set as a whole. More so when it caused players to consider trade offs because the mixed sets would still generally be better for min/maxing specific stats, however the set bonuses for using a full set would often provide other types of useful or interesting things.Ultima Online was fun for a while. You could do that in CoX as far as I know and they were both from Cryptic so it's possible Champions got hit for it.

Working really

It was City of Heroes. They had so many options that you could make close to exact duplicates of famous comic book characters. They found middle ground by forcing players to rename if they tried to do that.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
